i have to say i disagree with torture as well. if nothing else because it endangers our troops to the same type of treatment. plus from what i have read we gained absolutely nothing of importance from the techniques :/

hi Tech :) yes its definitely playable. I am on Windows 8.1 and it's playing fine. it just takes a little tweaking. just give the info requested and we'll have ya up and runnin in no time flat!

my family is heavily into law enforcement here in ohio. they chase em til they catch em! i have not heard of a pursuit being stopped ever here lol.

hey new guy!! new guy here too!! you seem to be wondering like i was about what to get. okay so the videos you see on youtube that are crisp and amazing are not the majority of us. those are very nice computers that can handle alot of stuff. so chances that your police lights and the way they flash really fast probably won't be like theirs. what i am using is an HP All in One Pavillion 23. my game plays pretty good actually and i have done a little common knowledge tweaking to make it run a little better. i am so excited to have the game that it could crash every thirty minutes and i'd still be happy. right now mine will crash after about 1.5 to 2 hours. that also depends on how many "add-ons" you are using. So here, in a nutshell, is how i did mine. 1. installed gta iv 2. installed lcdpfr 3. made a backup copy 4. once i started gta iv up i went into graphics on the main menu and reduced everything that said "effects CPU usage" i also reduced the size of the screen. 5. i installed game booster 3 to shut down some things that are unncessary to have running while gaming 6. if you want to use the really flashy lights you will need to download ELS v8.0. if you are okay with normal police lights just use non-ELS ones. you can filter your option on the search menu 7. made a backup copy 8. i found and installed ELS compatible police cars. you will need to download Open IV to change those in your directory. 9. i repaired my directory before i exited Open IV 10.i installed vH Helper. it is good for calling ambulances and fire trucks that are actually stable. It also lets you call the coroner, get a bait car, and set up barricades. 11. made a backup copy now if you can get all this going then you are in a good position to start playing and having a good time. if your game is playing just fine with no problems then you can consider doing more things. the more you change the directory the more unstable it will become. you will just have to play and see how the changes affect your game as you go along. i found everything i needed here on the forum and any questions i posted were answered quickly. hope this helps just a little bit. good luck :D

hmm while i've got ya here i noticed that once i installed the ANRP that the calls i was receiving were still red after i stopped them, gave punishment, etc. when normally with the LCPDFR radar once i gave them ticket the red circle disappeared. i did disable ANPR via the police car console to keep them from interracting with each other. there for a minute i had like four red circles randomly still on the screen after i had dealt with them lol. is that normal and something i just should look over or did i possibly screw up the install? just so ya know all i did to install my ANRP was put those two files in scripts. thanks :)

woohoo thanks. yeah im here to stay. i just gave up a game called CyberNations that i have been playing for six years and participated on many forums everyday :( i grew tired of it but i already miss the community. you know what we need is an irc channel :D that way we could get on and talk sometimes. or do we have one?

i've been reading about this too. and honestly i wanna support the officer, but reports say that the police car pulled up and the officer fired 3 shots within 1.5 seconds of stopping the car. the other officer didn't even have time to exit the car before the kid was on the ground. reports also say he was alone so unless that kid was pointing that gun at them there should have been a little more discretion. also i'm concerned that they pulled up within 5 feet of him. what happened to officers taking cover when in danger? this clearly was not a dangerous situation is what i think.

Hey i'm jeremy :D i am new posting but have been looking around for a bit. I just found LCPDFR a few weeks ago and i've slowly been buying controller and trying to figure out the game since then. But within the last couple days I have actually been doing great and learning a lot of things i never knew. Thanks to everyone on here who has been posting helpful hints and for those on youtube posting videos. I knew NOTHING about how to do anything like this until i got here. The game is playing really good for me so far. a little slow but i'm working on things slowly so i don't screw my file up lol. Also thanks to the guy who did the Las Vegas police pack. I have it installed and they are awesome!! I will add a siggy and stuff later today so i don't seem like a troll. thanks for having me!
