hello again. from the logs it seems that several things are missing. one missing thing can trigger the rest of them. what i would do is uninstall lcpdfr. then re install it using the automatic installer. also disable virus protection while you are downloading and installing the mod. make sure when you go to asi loader you only choose dsound or xlive and not both. also make sure you run the mod as Administrator. let me know how this goes. this should be a pretty simple fix from the looks of things so lets hope so :D

hello. that log doesnt really tell anything so let me ask. did you check your GTA IV foldr to see if there was a dsound or asi file?

yup this happens all the time. i tell everybody as much as possible that when they install lcpdfr to disable virus protections. its possible that some files dont download when its not disabled. i cant say if that is the sound problem you are having though. when you installed the mod did you have your anti virus disabled?

i am guessing that some of the cars installed are non ELS. thats usually the only way that the lights "freeze" and dont flash. at least for me anyways. but if you still have problems let me know.

until we can figure out your problem you can forceduty if you want instead of going to the station. Press Alt P then press ~ and type forceduty. you can change between cops by using the Native Trainer :) hope this helps a little bit.

i have that happen to me too. It seems to happen when I grab the criminal after arresting him. So I just call transport and leave him there You can use a mod called police orders by Finkone to get your partner out of the road. I use it and its kinda nice :)

version 1.1 is the latest version of LCPDFR and i doubt there will be any future updates considering LSPDFR was just released. modders will continue to make mods for LCPDFR for a while im sure.

okay what i would do first is make sure GTA IV runs all by itself just fine. if not at least we know where the problem starts. if it does work and you install LCPDFR install it manually. make sure to only use dsound or xlive and not both. also make sure you are running the game as Administrator. There are a few options to try to fix that DEP problem but im not skilled enough to take that on. So i figured we start here and see what we can do :P

hi guys. i swear this is the fourth time i've heard the same problem this week. i have scoured every site i know of and googled the hell out of it. i have seen NO correct answer to this problem with no radio chat. i don't know whats goin on. some of the people i've helped have done everything from re install to system restore. nothing has brought back the police scanner. also the Read Only feature is kinda weird. it resets everytime you go back to it. so when you actually uncheck it and press Apply it does the job. however, if you decide to "check again" to make sure it did what you wanted it is designed to "reset" to its original position so it seems like its not doing what you wanted when it actually did :P

hello. i'm glad you finally working. now you said up there you dont have a 100% save for xlive so i found one http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=12822 sometimes the taser dont work for me either. what i do is make sure i'm on the pistol then press T. if that doesnt work press left Alt T. sometimes i have to press it a couple times but it always works. so i hope it works for you i never learned how to control my partner lol. he just runs around and helps sometimes haha. Are you using the QAM to control him? i've also never marked anyone for cops to go after. to be honest i dont use the QAM at all. i can look those problems up but at this point i wouldnt even worry about it with all the trouble you have had. i would also make a backup copy while your game is good :P

okay what probably is happening is too many police cars. there are a few things you can do and i have a list of things i do that can help. try these and let me know if it helps or if you have questions: okay here are a few things i have done. i have to say that my game runs EXTREMELY well!! i have tweaked and tweaked and i have a good setup. i crash about every hour and a half sometimes two. sometimes i get bored and turn it off without it crashing at all so i'll tell ya what i did. 1. i installed non els brush trucks instead of fire trucks, pstockade, nstockade, and i replaced ambulances with little swedish ones. smaller, less lights, and less deadly!! 2. in the els slot control i turned all those mentioned above to Status=OFF 3. i lowered the ELS range of AI police in the ELS ini in the main GTA IV folder. You can also change the number of ELS cars allowed a few lines below that if you choose. right now its at 20. less els cars hanging around the better. but those two numbers you will have to mess around with to see what suits you. 4. in the lcpdfr notepad inside the lcpdfr folder i changed to SuspectTransporterModels=pstockade (this just allows the non els pstockade you install to come pick up prisoners. the only els cars that i keep are police, police2, fbi, noose, and polpatriot) 5. i also increased the Maximum Seconds Before New Callout. that way it limits the amount of AI police cruisers reacting to random calls. If you have a few callouts installed you can drastically reduce the number of these if you want. The only thing i enable with lcpdfr is the plate reader in the cruiser. 6. You can limit the Maximum Cop Cars In Pursuit. This will limit the amount of els cars on the screen at the same time. 7. i lowered some of the CPU usage in the Graphics tab in game. Eliminate shadows and lower water textures. You can mess around with those settings to see what suits you. 8. also when you call an ambulance or backup wait for them to leave the scene before you do. that way they dont disappear and leave those cars sitting around. having a few of those hanging around with all those lights aint good either :P Thats it. i mean if you wanna try these PLEASE PLEASE make a backup copy of your game. You will have to tweak with this and see what works for you and your system. i am really happy with how my game plays. i dont use ENB or anything. I just turned the brightness up. that was good enough for me. and besides with all the tweaks its allowed me to use really sweet cars with bright lights and sexy wig wags :D what i lack in water texture i make up for in really slick lookin cars and lights. anyways good luck man! hope ya game gets better.
