k did you try keeping dsound and just removing the advancedhookinit like Will was talking about? your problem is so simple but its causing so many problems :( hopefully we'll get this sooner than later lol.

okay do me a favor. remove els completely. then try your game and see if it runs with the police mod only. that way we know for sure if its the Advanced hook.

hello :) okay from what i am seeing everything is installed correctly. however, you do have alot of scripts installed. remember lcpdfr is a mod itself so it is unstable as it is. the more scripts you add the more unstable it becomes. my advice would be stay out of the water completely. there is nothing fun out there, plus if your water textures are high that takes alot of CPU to make the ocean seem real. a few things you can do: go into your ingame menu and go to graphics. turn water and shadows off. also mess around with those things that affect CPU usage so you can adjust how your game plays best for you. check your scripts. i wouldnt think the police helper mod (coroner and such) would crash the game as mine runs perfectly. also if you are using policing script to do the breathalyzer you can also use this one here, which to me works better and it stops traffic :P http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/2562-poe-police-officer-extras-script/ also make sure that you are not installing cars that are big files. you can also change AI police into non ELS. the more police lights on the screen the more likely you will have a crash. see what you can do and let me know if you need more help

hello. i was looking at your logfiles and it looks like everything was installed correctly then something crashed. are you trying to play this online? do me a favor and try to use dsound instead of xlive and see if the game starts up that way. also check the lcpdfr diagnostic tool and let me know if anything other than the logfile was red :)

that is a really weird log to read. do me a favor and check the date on your script hook and your advanced hook in your gta iv folder. from what i am reading, and i hope i am reading it right, your script hook doesn't look like it is "catching" and crashing. i could be way off but its a start. also when you run the diagnostic tool in the lcpdfr folder which of the five bars are still coming up red?

hey guys. just checking in to see if everybody is okay. if you use the ELS Advanced Hook please use ELS v8.5 and not ELS v8.0 also try using Xlive instead of dsound. let me know how things are going and i'll check back soon.

YES! long time in the making but i'm definitely happy :D i'm so proud of the development team and this mod and i can't wait to be able to finally wear a t-shirt so all these people i tell about the game know what im talking about :P now i just gotta decide which i want :( and yes i'd buy a mousepad too if we had them!

well the loader problem is specifically linked to something not being installed correctly. so i am guessing that its probably one of the things listed in the above requirement list. please make sure that you have EVERYTHING installed that is on that list up there. from the top to the bottom. when you get to installing the police mod make sure you are disabling virus protection during the downloading and installing process. it can block certain parts of the mod from being installed. most of the mistakes are made during that process listed up there. so once you can get past this you are in smooth sailing. also make sure you use the diagnostic tool that comes in the lcpdfr folder once its installed to check installation processes. let me know which ones remain red.

okay now im goin to try and help with this. first thing you need to do is uninstall els and trainer. make sure you then start your GTA IV game up and make sure it runs good all by itself. then you wanna install ELS v8.5. after that you wanna install the Trainer except you ONLY need trainer.ini and trainer.asi files from the Trainer folder. this helps to make sure you arent installing outdated components. so first try GTA IV and make sure it works. then install ELS and make sure it works. then install the parts of the trainer that i listed above. then try it. i am thinking this should help. lemme know what happens.

i was going to ask since you said it happens when you use the trainer..can you spawn cars using the interface when you press ~ key?

did your clan pack contain any specific ELS files for the cars you installed?

do one thing real quick just to see if it helps. install els v.8.5. from what i remember els v8.0 comes with an outdated version of advanced hook. let me know if this helps. if not we can go from there.

hello :) so from what i am hearing this problem has just started happening? were you able to pull people over successfully before? did you add any new callout scripts? does your game run normally other than the pull-over issue?

thanks for this suggestion. i've seen that said before but i paid no attention to it sadly :/ i was looking up another problem tonight and it said the same thing could fix another issue someone else was having. so this is definitely something that we'll have to tell others to try. definitely appreciate you taking the time to let us know :)

hello :) this really isn't alot to work with but i've been looking around the internet to see if i can help. are you using any other mods with this game? does your GTA IV work without LCPDFR installed? if so how long can you play the mod before it crashes?
