  2. To add on to ineseri's comment, it also brings that topic to the top of the forum board, so if you reply to a 6 month old topic that is no irrelevant then it pushes all the topics from people with current problems down. causing all these old topics up top and making the support forum a mess. if a support topic was open and hasn't been touched for 30 days then there is no point in replying because the user has most likely fixed the problem, haven't visited the site (there have been heaps of people who just create an account - open a topic - then leave and never to return) or the problem itself got fixed in an update. I've been seeing your name pop up in the support forums quite a bit, and it's great that you've decided to help out. but try to stick with topics that don't exceed the 30 day limit. your time helping out is better spent within the 30 day limit as that's where the support is needed right now.
  3. Yup, performance is a lot different between a laptop GPU and a desktop GPU. a bit like a console and a PC.. (console being a laptop GPU and a PC being a desktop GPU) can do the same thing.. but one has more performance than the other. As an example, here is a 780 graphics card comparison of a desktop GPU compared to it's M/Laptop counterpart - http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-780M-vs-GeForce-GTX-780 The desktop GPU has better performance than the Laptop/M counterpart. it's why i say unless you have a laptop designed for gaming.. don't play games on a laptop. According the Lenovo website the laptop is $700.. add a couple hundred and you could build a desktop that can run GTA V on high settings.
  4. Desktop graphics card? Or is it a laptop?
  5. Well.. it depends on the alien i guess. if it classed as a human.. or an animal. so. Classed as human: human shoots alien - alien dies - human gets charged with murder. Classed as animal: human shoots alien - alien dies - human gets charged (or fined) for animal cruelty. There is really no way to answer that question because the law wasn't made with aliens in mind.. that being said, i doubt we'll ever walk among aliens anyway.. Why? because the US government will just keep them locked up in Area 51
  6. I never really enjoy Horror movies.. they just seem so.. predictable. not to mention i complain when they screw up the blood spatter (which is in most movies). the only horror movies i have really watched and enjoyed is the Scream series.
  7. Yeah, there is nothing you can do about that.. it's a low-end laptop that wasn't designed for gaming. Lenovo has essentially stated that on their site the processor is awful as it's only 1.7GHz, the graphics is only 2GB VRAM so it's not idea for gaming. this laptop was only ever designed for entertainment, multimedia and office related purposes.
  8. the specifics? Well for one, no tools have been created to mod LA Noire (most likely because they're encrypted and aren't able to be modified) and that nobody really has an intrest in LA Noire modding, unlike GTA, people play LA Noire for the story, not the mods.
  9. Yeah, i doubt a FR mod for LA Noire will happen. Like Cyan said people aren't interested in it enough. The game itself is law enforcement enough, theres no need for a mod. Plus the Free Roam features provides callouts. I don't even think it's possible to mod LA Noire, I haven't seen someone create or release a mod for the game.
  10. We encourage members to not downgrade to 0.95 as it's outdated and no longer supported. Before downgrading (yes lcpsdsergeant is right, we still have 0.95 up on GTA-4mods.com) i suggest you look through the support section and see if you can find find a solution to your problem with LCPDFR 1.1 first.
  11. Are you running a legit copy of your game? A retail or Steam version and not from a torrent?
  12. They've not released the reveal/announcement trailer for Mafia 3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYhlmUd9Xoc This sounds like it's going to be an awesome game! However because it's 1968, i doubt we'll ever find out what happens with Joe at the end of Mafia 2. Or unless they tie in Mafia 2 somehow with 3 (like they did with 1 and 2)
  13. Definitely going to keep my eye on this. Look forward to seeing the release =)
  14. Edge is essentially an updated/revamped version of Internet Explorer.. so don't expect it to be the best browser around
  15. I'm having no trouble accessing his files. Have you tried using a different browser? (I'm having no issues on Chrome)
  16. go into your GTA IV directory and find a file named savegame.fr. delete it. then go into your LCPDFR.ini and find the autosave feature and disable it. This should fix your problem
  17. I'm not entirely sure what the version is. I'm not even sure if the first version is still up for download anywhere, i know it was released on GTA Garage, but that was 3-4 years ago so i'm not sure if it's still up for download.

Can you upload a screenshot of your mods folder? You've probably just did the file/mod method wrong.
  19. Good luck finding that, i believe (well it was a few years ago) still released on GTAGarage. Just be warned though, you'll obviously won't get any support for it here.
  20. Please, don't hijack someone's thread.. instead create your own here - http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/813-computers-technology-gaming/
  21. I'm not saying anything. LSPDFR isn't online because Rockstar doesn't allow mods so G17 are respecting their wishes by not allowing LSPDFR online.. plus they'll just get complaints because they got banned from GTA Online because of using their mod. which isn't a good thing. With the new Mulitplayer that's getting developed there is a possibility for LSPDFR to go online, That's all up to the Development team and whether or not they want to do that. Right now their main focus is on the mod itself, making it into something great.. whether or not LSPDFR goes online is the last thing on their minds.
  22. So.. i had a reply written out and it didn't post. All those will happen, although your second one (play a unique character with customization) might not happen, that'll depend on the online feature and if they'll have character customization or it'll be like SA:MP with a NPC character model. Although you managed to put your online character in uniform and use him in LSPDFR, so that might be possible with the third party online mod. hardly no information has been released about the online aspect or if LSPDFR will support it. we'll just have to wait and see first.
  23. I like the idea of an online mode, there are a few non rockstar online modes being created so it'll be nice to see where it leads and how LSPDFR could work with it. With ranks, that won't be a thing within LSPDFR, it's been brought up countless times across both LCPDFR and LSPDFR, and every time it's been declined because it's something we don't really want. However with GTA V rank patches, this might be a thing with clans. Now with the ranks of PO III, PO III+1, Sergeant, Detective etc. it will be possible to add those/add a ranking system with clans (that'll be per-clan basis and not connected with LSPDFR.
  24. Good god! Sounds like a plot for a movie or something. This guy is seriously about to go to war by the sounds of it. Hopefully the can arrest him without having a shootout.
  25. Just wait patiently, people will see your support topic and try to help you. Keep in mind it is during the week so most people will be at work, school etc. so replies maybe slow. =)
