  1. Well technically City of LS is within LSSD's jurisdiction, if I'm not mistaken, so they have every right to patrol there. As for me, I rarely see sheriffs outside of Davis and Vinewood hills though. Discovery of the night: There are TWO different motor units, ones are with SAHP on Harley-like thingies and the others are LSPD on BMWs (Ubermachts I guess). Wow.
  2. Just another random Trevor-style rampage doesn't really sound any better (part of the reason why I don't like Trevor). I can understand one person killing another for an offense... Killing total strangers just because is completely mind breaking.
  3. We had a special unit in Russia called the Tax Police Service. It was the only law enforcement body here that completely financed itself, maintained nearly 100% percent clearance rate and managed its own funding (as a result the tax cops were paid quite well for Russian standards and rarely had the temptation to take bribes). People recall it was one of the most feared powers back in the day. When Putin came, guess what he did? Established a "National Tax Police Day" and disbanded the service three years after he was elected. Guess wasn't needed no more huh.
  4. Surprised our notable members of the public from Russia are out of the picture. Maybe we are broke, can't even invest in offshore accounts no more.
  5. By "sick" I don't mean a mental condition. White, brown, black, zebra, if you want to kill others, something is not right with you (it's only my opinion though). One thing I don't understand is why in many US states guns are sold without an extensive BG check. You need to visit a doctor even to get a license, but not a gun. I'm all pro-guns and if I lived in the States I'd get one or two, but I have zero complaints against a background check and a unified register (at least statewide) of firearm owners, with the possible exception of hunting rifles.
  6. I fail to see the connection. Islam is a religion and therefore more or less a choice. Yes, when someone who choose to belong to a certain group does an attack, it's natural others would like to take revenge on its group. I'm not saying it's justified, but I do say I understand it. GUNS are not a religion, these are simple tools that people use. Before battling tools you may consider battling people that use them. Some very sick people live in your country. Not trying to offend anyone as I like the US a lot, just sayin.
  7. Who can tell what does the God believe? Even if at least one of many religions was based on real events, it was so long ago. Think about how many time religion was abused by those in power to support their interest with the sacred texts being adjusted respectively. This all matters only if we accept Gods actually exist and have beliefs. In that case Odin seems like a cool guy.
  8. And I still can't decide whether it's good to have as many shades of police liveries as in the USA or it's better to have one unified scheme...
  9. The killer is an Uzbekistan national, arrived in the USA in 2010. Originally from the same town where the terrorist who did subway train bombing this April in Saint Petersburg, Russia was born. Must be a really nice place.
  10. Well, one of my first games was Ace Attorney back in 2001. I am a lawyer now. This thing destroyed my life forever. I wish I was given GTA Vice City back then so I could have my own cocaine empire and a mansion taken from a dead drug lord by now, but you can't change the past.
  11. One interesting thing is that having any wanted level near Zancudo results in a goddamn death from above -- some army chopper with guided (?) missiles that instakills you. By the way, there are times when I wish police helicopters would not engage you... It's like you're having a nice neat foot chase at 3 stars through alleys and backyards, and those guys keep shooting at you. I know it's classic GTA but still...
  12. Decided to hit the 24/7 in Sandy and was looking for a good all-terrain getaway vehicle, when I noticed a Seminole passing by. These are nice SUVs so I followed it to that little cul-de-sac of a dirt road near Sandy and while I'm at it I notice the Seminole has nice unusual wheels. I'm like "cool, RDE and World of Variety actually made peds drive modified cars!" So I cut the guy off on that cul-de-sac and even tap his bumper to make him stop, get out, approach the drivers door and in the split second while I'm raising my weapon at him I notice that strange partition in the back of the Seminole... Which reminded me of something... Of a police cage?.. What the f..! Guess what? It was a BCSO detective >< I was so astonished for a second or so that he had a chance to taser me and put under arrest. How was that, "if criminals were smart, we wouldn't be catching them"?
  13. Me likes much-much the traditional brown-and-black livery, and I do enjoy their badge and uniform. During my time in Bmore I even went to the closest barracks (which weren't actually that close) and they showed me their patches collection and the service garage ^^ No pics allowed tho. I also like Transit Police design. That's a Statewide agency... at least formally.

  16. Out here (RU) police usually tries aiming at limbs before going lethal. I can't even think of any recent lethal shooting case... You kill someone = A LOT OF TROUBLE for the cop. Can end up fired. P.S. yeah, local cops shoot and hit legs and arms, and actually shooting at an arm which holds a gun is a standard training exercise here. Road police are also trained to shoot the tires of a moving vehicle from the patrol car during the pursuit.
  17. I must be definitely missing something. So the cops are given dirt bikes... To drive in a city? Because if they don't pursue, how would they end up off-road? They want to stop the riders but still can't pursue? And because of that they are given helmetcams and are supposed to turn their heads around to capture as much as possible?
  18. Let them be at least somewhere if not in main RDE. Does a year or two really make any difference if that's a nice car?
  19. Interesting... Some local units recently switched to submachine guns from full-size AK rifles due to being easy to handle in the cramped patrol vehicles. Subs are chambered with 9x18 rounds. Airport security still uses 7,62 assault rifles though. better to pack more stopping power.
  20. By the way, do I understand correctly that a gameconfig compatible with the latest R* update has already been issued and I felt behind?) https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gameconfig-xml-dilapidated
  21. Well, seems like they got the attention now :( It's truly sad to hear because I enjoyed my time in B-more and spoke to many cops (as with the other side of the law :P). Once a sergeant with some red shoulder patches even drove to home when he thought I was lost.
  22. We do not need to know anything else. The court and the jury, on the other hand, need a ton more to reach a guilty verdict on a murder. Where's the intent? Where's the evidence to clearly establish the chain of causation? I can't see. While we're at it... Yes, you can accidentally break your neck while being driven in a back of van during sudden breaking or turning. No cop (except officer Tenpenny) would risk his life, freedom, career and pension by actually trying to murder someone by driving this someone recklessly in the back of a police car. They might have wanted to 'teach him a lesson', sure. He accidentally died during this. Could this be proven? Well, let's see. The cops were hit with some solid charges, I mentioned them before. Say, I am one of the six suspected officers. I am the least involved (I stood by and did nothing while they conspired to murder the guy). Why would I wait and go down with the rest of them for a murder / mistreatment I was merely an unwilling participant of, if all I need to do is testify and give the DA the story he needs? tl;dr no cops willed to testify no matter how hard the DA tried to push them, no witnesses / evidence which could prove murder intent were retrieved, so no murder could be proven. Like I said... Negligence and transport procedure violation. Fire the responsible, sue the dept., improve the procedures... Install cameras in the vans...
  23. Like for the Hangar. Any plans on smaller planes to monitor / pursue boats or something? I've got zero clue on whether USCG does that though :D Recently I watched a video by Firekitten about her drowning in a truck, any plans to include something liek that? I.e. a large truck lost control and crashed into the ocean...
