*Facepalm* Street lawyers...
Don't even want to watch this video, I already know what the poor victim of harassment wants to show us. Normal people call it "police work".

Civil disobedience
Not always though. At least in my country, that ain't true... However, civil disobedience here will get your ass kicked. So this won't work too :D In some cases what a law says and how society acts are two different things, and people just *ignore* the law. You can't obey them all..

Another Chase
Nicely done. I love how US cops never mess around when it comes to pursuits. If they also shoot tires like our cops do chases would end even sooner :D

Civil disobedience
Sometimes I illegally cross the road the i the nearest crossing is too far away... Does that count?

New GTA V PC Screenshots
PC specs are strange things. I have sufficient to run GTA IV on high and probably GTA V on medium. But I don't know why it keeps overheating and crashing, sometimes with the BSOD. So technically I could run the fifth part. IRL... well, we'll see

What unit would you want to be?(real life)
My job on the force has to satisfy these criteria: big salary, ability to sleep on duty, no paperwork, and a cool uniform. So I'm going with the Commissioner. Seriously tho, paperwork is a bitch and makes you reconsider how romantic the LEO profession really is.

Boston Police Officer Critically Wounded
How come that criminal piece of shit didn't get life with no parole after shooting at the cops at the first time he did this? It's bad to say this, but I'm glad he is dead. Hope the officer will recover. There's gotta be some justice in this world.

I had no clue either but still arrested sorn vehicles, because if it says "no tax" it can't be good... Are those offences arrestable under UK law, Luke? In the States they arrest everyone for anything, but here in Russia cops would only write a ticket, so it's hard to guess your national ways :)

Clear Brook High School stabbing
This shit is crazy. Yesterday in my university campus one student stabbed another one twenty times, sending the guy to hospital. Unfortunately, medics were unable to do anything. This shit happened over a girl, and now one young man is dead, the other one could face up to 15 years. In the article above a student mentions you don't know what to expect from fellow students now, and I agree. Violence so close to you f-s you up...

Indiana Passes Religious Freedom Bill SB 101
Nothing is better than a word of a professional. Guess I should have read the exact text rather than a newspaper article. Thanks for clarifying! On a side note: not all do support this law. http://www.indystar.com/story/news/politics/2015/03/27/san-francisco-joins-planning-boycott-indiana/70531518/ On the one hand, California is the place where leftism flourishes like never else. On the the other, choosing between protecting beliefs and individual rights is hard.

Indiana Passes Religious Freedom Bill SB 101
I guess customers will have no legal claim under this, unless they manage to prove that they were refused on some different grounds such as discrimination. I'm more interested in how this all would work in huge corporations like McDonalds, which owners don't reside in this state. American law is fascinating, I wish my university had more courses about it lol.

>Post your local PD/FD/EMS pics here<
Investigative Committee of Russia recently received some new vehicles. I used to ride them (as a passenger). Some of them look pretty good, I think. Criminal Laboratory based on Gazel, older version. Some of them are fitted for off-road terrain and have lifted suspension and a winch (and it sucks riding in it). Inside there's a crate with some creepy CSI stuff, a few seats, and a table. Also features several sockets and can provide electricity during crime scene investigation. A bit newer version based on Ford Transit. Generally provides more space and more seats. A newer Volkswagen, also equipped for some light offroad trip. Never rode this one though, our city received them only a few months ago. A UAZ with no lights and siren, designed to provide assistance at the scene but mostly just drives tons of papers around. Fully marked InvestComm Ford. We have some of them but I never even looked inside. Used by high ranking officials I guess. Version with a lightbar, illegally parked. Those are the most common vehicles that InvesCom has. No markings, no lights or siren, no radio, an ordinary civilian Ford, usually Focus. The brass uses Mondeos. The only thing that gives up its identity is the license plate, always having O...CK on it. The one on the pic above has blue strobe lights, however, today it's illegal. No strobes are allowed in Russia, unless the vehicle belongs to the Federal Protective service. A funny fact: drivers are separate category of employees, both civil and LEOs. Those who are on the force can hold a rank up to major. However, drivers are unarmed, do not assist in investigations, are not trained to drive "code-3", and under no circumstances an ordinary investigator would be allowed to drive a service car. Russian police shares that silly manner: police drivers aren't even supposed to assist fellow officers, they should stay in their vehicles at all times.

NYC East Village Explosion
UPDATE: Two buildings are destroyed, another one nearly collapsed. De Blasio says the explosion happened because of gas works which were conducted in 121 2nd Ave. This is a scary shit. Even seeing those huge flames on top of that building made me nervous, I can't imagine how the first responders gotta feel down there. looks like FDNY managed to get this all under control. Great work, I'd say. http://graphics8.nytimes.com/bcvideo/1.0/iframe/embed.html?videoId=100000003596168&playerType=embed"></iframe>

NYC East Village Explosion
For now no concrete information is given. Around 30 persons are injured, terrorism seems less possible than a gas explosion, considering there was a restaurant on the first floor. An extract from USA Today: A five-story apartment building collapsed Thursday after an explosion touched off a raging seven-alarm fire in Manhattan's East Village. Fire officials said three people were hospitalized in critical condition and 12 people were treated at the scene. More than 255 firefighters and emergency service workers responded to the scene at Second Avenue at East 7th Street, pouring water onto a raging fire that sent flames high into the sky. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/03/26/explosion-fire-east-village-new-york/70497900/ Looks really scary. I do hope there will be as less victims as possible. Perhaps someone lives nearby and could share some details?

Should prostitution be Legal?
That's getting more and more interesting. 1.Prostitutes don't care about the law so don't make it legal. Please correct me if I am wrong (I'm a primitive russian who now little little anglish) but how does the situation you described gets better when prostitution is illegal? Does it make it easier to obtain evidence? Or to observe perpetrators? I guess not. Then why it's better to have it illegal (putting aside the eternal morale argument) if it cannot be enforced at all? (yeah, the way you put it it cannot be enforced). 2. Prostitutes don't want to be legal. Those who are forced into this, no, they don't. Those who need money for drugs will probably ignore the regulations and continue street soliciting, you're right. However, they'll get arrested for violating the rules (just like it happens now, but with more severe consequences). 3. Johns don't care where to stick. You must be kidding me. I love my health and my body and I really don't appreciate having a STD or sleeping with a dirty person. One of the reasons me and friends never called a hooker to our parties is that hell knows what can show up. But if we could call a perfectly legal brothel with health certificate and licenses, we would do so. And almost anyone except the lowest social layer representatives. Because people care about themselves. (Please, don't tell us U CANT CARE IF U SLEEP WITH WHORES. You're a shining example of morality, I got it.)

Should prostitution be Legal?
>A lot of prostitutes take post on the street corner and go from there. How can you monitor that? A call to the police, a surveillance cam or a car cam, a witness.. You know, what you are saying is applicable to almost ANY violation yet the law enforcement manages to handle them. >most likely she's just gonna ignore all rules and regulations and hop in the first car that stops. And will end up behind bars, just like now when cops see a hooker. However with legalization comes responsibility. Engaging in prostitution without a licence or on the street should result in a heavy penalty. And why would I pick an illegal hooker who has no health certificate, price list, complaint number, if I can go to a legal brothel? Demand and supply.

Should prostitution be Legal?
I like how CK says "you can't enforce legal prostitution so keep it illegal". You think gun laws in the US are perfectly enforced? Maybe outlaw the gun ownership. Again, not only Nevada has legal prostitution, Canada and Australia too. They do somehow enforce it, just like any other legitimate businesses. Every registered brothel will have to prove that employees have passed the medical examination by a trusted doctor time to time, say monthly. If they fail, or they fake the examination certificate, they got their license taken. Simple as that.
