  1. Is it possible to make them actually patrol the streets then? It would be a nice addition to LSPDFR. In IV they spawn too, they don't arrive from other places. It really makes some sense because shutting all the roads near the suspect's known location is a reasonable tactic. What pisses me off in GTA V is LSSD patrolling off-road paths. How come on those dirt tracks spawn cruisers and Noose? Cruisers ain't suited for off-road patrol at all (however with GTA V idiotic handling that makes no difference). Noose units just don't belong on those mountain tracks. I'd love to see Park Rangers spawning on mountain trails and LSSD and Noose only following you down there.
  2. Judging from that pic, I'd say yes.
  3. I'm not quite sure what kind of LCDPFR were you playing but apparently a bit different than mine, since I usually had shoot-outs last for a long time. It's up to players to choose whether to shoot everyone in the head or let it be played nice. So different backup units will allow different kinds of players to choose their playing style. And in LCPDFR some shootouts were finished even before I got to the place.
  4. You're an anarchist, do you know that? Frankly, when in the first versions of LCPDFR an accidental hit on 'F' inside the police station turned on that unscippable tutorial... That pissed me off like hell! :D
  5. Great vid. It's like from Breakin Bad, but from the good guys side/
  6. R* got our demands for the realistic police in a bit twisted way.
  7. if assigning them wanted levels means hundreds of AI cruisers come crushing at my suspect I'd better be a lone ranger. I especially wouldn't like having Noose chasing suspects, because Riots are not suited for it and Grangers with passengers on sides are too vulnerable. However in LCPDFR Noose also uses police FIB Buffalo, which is a perfect pursuit vehicle. Something like an LSPD Buffalo or FiB Buffalo with armed and dangerous people inside would make a perfect pursuit task force.
  8. Nice idea! Unlike GTA IV, in the V there are actual FIB SWAT peds, so it will look cool. Also, will backup units be able to drop from a helicopter? Once I had several gangsters in a parking lot, not even a Noose team had made it through to them. I had to use their Stockade to cross that parking lot and stay alive. A helicopter dropping Noose agents would be very helpful.
  9. Well actually back in USSR stories about how an officer visited a home and talked with a misbehaving kid to straighten him up were really popular. Even I was threatened that if I won't stop being bad they'll come after me. We still have officers whose duty is to be involved with community, help solve troubles, and help with raising a kid too. So in some cases law enforcement should be used to help parents. Nothing's like a good man-to-man talk with an officer and a kid. It actually leaves an impression.
  10. Well, they didn't shoot him or beat him up. So it's alright I guess.
  11. Never had any issues with the stops like you described, except them stopping in the middle of the road or slightly scratching a parked vehicle on some occasions. And I doubt GTA V cares about NPC safety even a little bit more. AI is a bit smarter, they now can (and sometimes actually manage to) drive around an obstacle, but other than that...
  12. Back in GTA IV they had a Noose shoulder patch, yeah... Still they shout something about Noose tho. Anyway, I think this might add more variety to the game.
  13. I was wondering whether it's possible to make LSSD deputies in body armor (they have a very SWAT look lol) respond instead or alongside of Noose in county at 3 stars in Sheriff Granger? Having federal agents using sheriff vehicle always looked so weird. Those Noose guys have their own cool armored van and also use unmarked units, but they still drive around in local cars.
  14. Nice touch, R*, an LSPD-marked vehicle responds in the county area! :D Maybe they were forming a roadblock nearby and officers just used them to chase you? I've never seen a responding Riot, but things may be different in PC version...
  15. Great job on those arrests! Even evil R* can't stop Sam from arresting people. Seriously, this is a great step forward, thanks to the team! Will those arrests work outside the mod, btw? (like LSPDFR installed and on, but I'm still going to the station to get on duty) And another question, if that's all right: Pic5 shows 7 Noose guys in a Granger. Is that a backup unit? Are they gonna respond fully staffed now, not like in the vanilla game, when there were only 3 guys per vehicle? And how do you feel about enabling Police Riots to actually respond along with other vehicles? Nothing's like a huge Noose van pulling to a perps' location and wasting them all up.
  16. Maybe remove that "Start new topic" button from the upper right corner and replace it with the "go to the first unread post in this topic", as it was before. Because now, if I need to see new posts, I have to click on the subforum and then on that dot on the left side. Not really comfortable. (unless I'm missing something?)
  17. Why is that odd? GTA IV's injury system was far more better than GTA V's. People instantly die being punched, God Paramedic Lord.
  18. They really do have a PR talent. The site's texts are written as politicians write their campaign adverts: don't name any names but imply they are better than their rival. Oh really, who could that be? It's not like there are dozen teams making GTA police mods. However I'd love to see some pics and vids if I'm thinking whether to download the mod or not, and I can't find any on this site.
  19. I thought he was talking about PB mod's name, my bad.
  20. LSPD FR is what G17 are making. Do you propose to start another name conflict?) I have no problems with Rapid Response, although I'd name it San Andreas Rapid Response since there's no SAPD
  21. Can't even imagine what this cool feature is the Devs are making! I mean, having a cop mod in GTA V already is so cool, how even better can it become?
  22. Wow, that sounds not too good. Hope you'll find a way for arrests...
  23. Thanks, I remember those events now. Sam mentioned an arrest command, which AI still disobeys. Maybe it's only active in those side missions? Let's see what the devs say then :)
  24. Why did Sam earlier said that cops always execute a suspect then? I'm a bit confused...
  25. Is Illusionary an Anime Kangaroo?
