  1. Sincerely hope you'll find a way around. What about issuing tickets, are there any animations for that? And maybe arm all them with tasers set to zero damage to stop them from killing if the perp is unarmed?
  2. Big deal is that this AI cruiser is backup, and GTA V never sends backup during a chase. This teaser doesn't show many features at a first glance, but it's all there - just look for it :)
  3. I'd like to see more foot chases, yeah. Always loved it. I already imagine how I'll pull over a Burrito full of Lost bikers, line them up with their hands on their heads, and teach them some respect for the John Law.
  4. It wasn't just a random chase. There was a backup sheriff unit which tried to block the suspect at 0:40. Something is definitely up! Also there was an LSPD Buffalo. I never saw it in chases. The one thing I'd like to see the most is an arrest. When devs say they taught GTA V AI to make arrests I'll die happily.
  5. That was totally astonishing, especially the part with the accident scene: lights are up, ambulance is there, and a cop is tiredly walking towards the camera. Reminded me of 90's movies I watched as a kid.
  6. Could you please explain how handling would affect AI driving? I always thought they don't have much in common. Also one thing I really loved in IV was off-road driving, flashy sport cars were useless while Ranchers rocked. Now in V even a damn sportcar can climb a mountain. Why R* even bothered with making different cars if they all behave the same...
  7. What does Francis Mcreary have on his jacket? It appears as a round shiny pin. Is this some kind of LCPD senior rank identification?
  8. I felt like NFS every time I drove a car in V. Since I always obey traffic rules, I almost never had any handling problems in IV, but in V all the cars feel the same to me. Well, almost all the cars. On the over hand, seeing those police Staniers rolling over in IV always looked like a stupid joke. On the third hand, V police can outrun every vehicle in their jumbo jet cruisers. The good thing about modding is that anyone can set the game up ti his demands. So I''l wait for handling mods for sure.
  9. Did I get it correct? The AI cop fired through the windshield? Also nice moment with this AI traffic dodging the perp's car.
  10. Rliey is right about something. For example, helping people is police job, that is why they join the force in the first place. Just as a medic is supposed to help, a teacher is to teach, and so on. When police do something great and outstanding (like that officer buying shoes for the homeless guy, or police helping people at 9/11), it's all covered too and receives positive marks. About Swedish and American police now. How many Swedish officers got shot for no reason or shot at all this year? Sadly, it's so different in America. When police officers are killed while having their lunch... Hell, I would retire or shoot any suspicious guy on sight. You can blame the gun laws, crazy people, and all, but being an officer in America is more dangerous than in Europe, in my opinion, and this type of stress leaves its marks.
  11. Kinda nice moment with those paramedics. Did you ever saw them reviving anyone? On GTA Wiki they say it's possible if they arrive on time but I never managed to see it.
  12. Damn! I wish there were those state police cars with no snow. This Police Ranger reminds me of San Andreas sooo much.
  13. It's like a ride along with cops, an opportunity for us to see the inside of moderators' job. Guess it's just a glitch tho, I remember developers mentioning this earlier.
  14. If I remember right, Sam once mentioned he was working on creating the same system as you proposed, with wanted levels and stuff, however, it wasn't so about additional units, but more about their behavior towards a suspect. However I don't know what happened to this idea. You can find the topic I was talking about by this link below.
  15. I have a bunch of codes on the main page, is that just as planned?
  16. I think we all sorta understand this. But you know, LCPDFR is the only place on the Internet I know where you can discuss wrong liveries or incorrect agencies, and be taken seriously :D
  17. Nah, it had SAPD markings. Actually, San Andreas was really accurate about stuff like that. I also loved their Rangers :3
  18. Well, having multiple divisions, different uniforms, vehicles, and agencies was certainly an improvement after Vice City. However, those LSPD SWAT vans in Las Venturas...
  19. While you're at it, is it possible to determine the type of the roadblock? Like spawning only cones or cones with spike strips?
  20. Can't really speak about "proper law enforcement implementation" after R* cut NPC arrests from the game. Oh of course it's all a parody of LAPD and blah blah blah, but honestly was it so hard not to fix what wasn't broken? Went kinda offtopic here, sorry... bu it's all about paying attention to the law enforcement anyway.
  21. Hastings commented on RolandHUE's gallery image in GTA V Galleries
  22. I was offered to do one while I was in Baltimore. But they prohibited jeans to be worn during ride along and I had no alternative :D However, once I was given a lift to home and the officer (actually a sergeant) who was driving initiated a traffic stop. He then told me to get out and stay away till he finishes talking to the driver.
  23. Did you consider using Director's mode to be able to actually help them in firefights?
  24. Getting pulled over by a hearse must be a really weird experience...
