Callout "Traffic Backup"
I take it there's no spawn places in Alderney? It's a pity( Otherwise a great mod, and I really love the locations where you've placed the vehicles. I've never seen yet a traffic stop with a truck (they're much more frequent in my country than with cars), how does the call choose vehicles?

What languages do you speak? Where?
Eh, well, Russian because I'm Russian, and English because I hate watching movies with subtitles. (However I still frequently misplace articles and tenses). I also know some French, a bit of German, some words in Spanish, and in my school we studied ancient Greek and Latin.

more sounds
Flash in his The Wasteland plugin has an audio update for the dispatch, it includes NYPD recordings, sometimes with a siren sound.

Anyone ever seen these?
At first I thought this was LED lighting, so undercover police can have their lights even when they are out of their cars....

Frisking Suggestion
LC laws forbid any and all weapons in the city limits, so whatever it is, an LC cop is here to arrest, lol Anyway I agree that I wouldn't like to may auto-arrests. Sometimes I play dirty, taking money if I found drugs, or something else. For the 70% of the gameplay I use the frisk function to stop multiple perps and have them lined up with hands on their heads. Just doesn't look right when they simply hand there while I'm searching their car.

why so many disregards?
I think it matters. How much RAM do you have and how many mods you ran?

Ah, that's nice to hear. Almost as nice as hearing that you're planning further improvements.:) A third party plugin shutdown while trying to deploy a barrier: I tried to despawn an NPC vehicle by placing a barrier close to it, the vehicle disappeared, however a sergeant fell from above the sky and the plugin was shut down. Usually vehicles can be removed b placing barriers with no problem, and sometimes cops do spawn and fall from the sky, but without shutdowns.

The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread
Back to ambos.. Did you know that till the mid-sixties in the States main first respondents were hearse drivers? I didn't, for example. I don't mean hearse-styled ambulances, I mean an ordinary hearse fitted with a beacon and some markings, and a vic had to lie where a coffin would normally rest. A terrible experience if you ask me. It reminds me of an old and black Russian medics' joke: - Hey doc, where are you driving me? - To the morgue, sir. - But I'm not dead yet! - We haven't arrived yet, sir. Those who arrived first at the scene took bodies and profits while latecomers had to drive victims to a hospital. Hearses sometime lacked the necessary equipment and even the space for an IV bag, and a driver had to drive holding a bad through an open window. Davis Funeral Home ambo, 1963. This scheme was called "hearse/ambulance combination" Funeral parlor employees hurry a victim to a hearse Texas, 1964. This one boasts some improvements. 1960's Indiana. Guess last two did not respond at emergencies, at least normally. First University of Missouri ambulance, entered service in 1968, created by an ex-Army medic who was literally astonished when he found out how exactly civilian hearse/ambulances work in Missouri. A Manchester Ambulance truck. The company was founded in 1959 and provided only ambulance services so patients didn't have to experience a ride to a hospital in a hearse.

Agent? Is that some fed guy? If that's so I'd love to know what fed agency has a uniform like that, never saw it before!

Do you remember the first time you've drove a car?
Yes, it was a horrible Soviet car, in which I was taught to cross a river. After we succeeded, I tried to open the trunk but bent the key to it and was scolded by the car's owner. It was like 12 years ago. God I'm so old.

The Wasteland - callouts for Bohan
Flash, you gotta hear this! So, I was called to assist with a man with a gun to Northern Gardens. I arrive on the scene, equip my assist-favorite shotgun, and we advance. The perp notices us and opens fire, so he gets one in the guts and fells on the ground. And all of a sudden I hear shots.. from behind? I turn round and see a black Cavalcade with two guys in leather jackets shooting at us! Officers open fire, one catches a bullet in the head and falls on the ground while I scream for backup being suppressed behind a corner (an UZI machine gun is not to be joked with on the Hardcore mode). A backup unit approach from the far end of the street, and the shooters turn round and run for it. (at this point I was able to call the pursuit on them making this all a pursuit event) Me and three other officers engage in a foot pursuit, then suddenly one guy turns round ans starts shooting at us while the other guy carjacks an Esperanto! Paying no attention to the shooter I hop on an abandoned motorcycle and follow the other guy in his Esperanto, and then I see another officer who took a Blista. Together we chased him down to the Broker tollbooths where his car lost control and crashed. He was successfully arrested by the tollbooth cops a second later.

Yelling peds
I second this. Once I put cuffs on an old lady and she said "I am not afraid of civil service!" Was quite amusing.

Scene cleared! So annoying
I think it has something to do with the available amount of RAM, the same as the "code 4" message after you accept a callout. Some callouts messages hang there for a considerably long period while some - very short, and this "crime scene cleared" message is displayed

Older fire trucks.
True. I must have confused it with Ford Police Special from L.A. Noire lol

Older fire trucks.
There already is a converted version for GTA IV, if I'm not mistaken

Noticed a sketchy thing today.
At least in my country it would be no use of reporting them unless it happened near a secured government facility of some kind. Plateless car may be a brand new one, and you can only be sure that a company is a fake if you checked with a company charter (which usually is public). Anyway there's no crime in putting a logo of a fake company on a car and driving with no plates. (the latter is just a traffic charge, at least here). All in all, I don't think anybody will investigate that. But, hey, you never know.

I broke my GTA
First of all I've been heavily wondering whether I should post it here or in the LCPDFR support thread - I AM NOT SURE WHETHER THE CRASH RELATES TO LCPDFR! If mods find this topic doesn't belong here I hope they'll move it... As the title says I broke my GTA. Here's the story: I used the latest version of LCPDFR with ALM, TrafficFlow, some non-ELS cars and two API mods. (and xlive.dll, that's important). Everything worked flawless. For some reason I got corrupted with lust and decided to install an ELS car. ELS requires dsound.dll (says so in read.me), so I copied all ELS files in GTA folder and replaced xlive with dsound. And the hell broke loose. The game crashed right after loading, LCPDFR Crash Reporter said that's not LCPDFR crash. All right. So I deinstalled ELS and got xlive back. Things didn't change at all. I uninstalled LCPDFR and it was a bit better, at least no crash on start. So I completely deleted the GTA folder content and used my clear backup (only with previous version of LCPDFR installed, which I deleted.) Once again I decided to install ELS, and this time it went fine, though my game became unstable, that's the payback for using ELS cars. I decided to delete ELS and get my xlive back. Guess what? Now the game crashes on start. Again. If LCPDFR uninstalled it works, but is highly unstable. I have no damn idea how could an installation of ELS fuck my game up so heavily that even backup doesn't help. LCPDFR DiagTool says that all right except logfile (logfile checked see report for more details), however upon crash it says "that's not a LCPDFR crash". Just in case I attach my logfile and a screen of GTA IV root folder. Game copy is legal, OS is suitable, NetFramework and all mandatory software is present, the game and the mod were running flawlessly before I installed ELS. Any ideas?

Handcuff Case... #DumbTopicAlert
A bit off-topic, but... Lord.. They allow explorers and volunteers to participate in actual law enforcement? Investigate accidents? Transport prisoners? The U.S. must be a law enforcement heaven
