  1. Oh god... hopefully it ends up like that LAPD Tesla "prototype", or the LAPD's fleet of BMW's.
  2. This is something that's been a little troublesome for me. Before GTA V was released, Rockstar would release amazing AAA games on a yearly basis. In 2007 we had Manhunt 2, in 2008 we had Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: LA, in 2009 we had EFLC, in 2010 we had Red Dead Redemption, in 2011 we had L.A. Noire, in 2012 we had Max Payne 3, and in 2013 we had GTA V. After GTA V, it all changed. Now it's been nearly 5 years since R* have released a new AAA game. That's half a decade. Ports and remasters don't count. What's going on? Surely GTA Online isn't generating as much profit as releasing a new AAA game yearly would. And surely they're still developing games for the same amount of time, if anything modern game development tools shorten the development cycle. Ubisoft and many other companies are still able to release AAA games on a yearly basis, proving that it's still feasible and profitable.

  4. My town (the all black car picture) did it to save money on decals and for better resale value. Their newer units are no longer all black, they started marking them again with the 2015 Ford Explorers. The 14's are still all black. The State police do it (and they have been doing it since they were established) because the cars are take-home units, the light bars are magnetic and come off in 1 minute. The Troopers are allowed to use them off-duty, something that is unique to our state. In fact a CT State Trooper was killed 2 days ago while driving their off duty cruiser: http://www.wfsb.com/story/37431121/investigation-into-crash-that-killed-state-trooper-continues
  5. There's a username I haven't seen in a while. Welcome back. This video is a couple years old but it's still hilarious. TBH I think the guy could have probably gotten away with it if he put a huge "NOT IN SERVICE" decal on the side of the car and say he only used it for car shows. People drive fully marked (albeit vintage) police cars to car shows all the time around here.
  6. 1998 LAPD CVPI still in service: http://www.latimes.com/la-me-southern-california-storm-live-flooding-mud-traps-lapd-cruiser-in-la-1515513806-htmlstory.html
  7. Launch settings, AKA "target", are not made in Steam. Find your LaunchIV.exe, create a shortcut, move it to your desktop, and enter in your launch settings there under "target". Launch the game from the shortcut. You may be able to launch the game regularly through Steam and still have the settings be applied, although I personally can't confirm this. Side note: Topic moved to GTA IV/Support Requests.

  9. You'll have to elaborate for most people to understand what mod you're referring to.
  10. You just got nuked. My hill.
  11. This is old news. This was originally revealed way back in April or something. I think it looks okay, but it's nothing revolutionary. The dual spotlights and steel rims with chrome center caps kind of give it away anyhow, not very discrete.
  12. I really miss the old site. @Kallus Rourke how dare you insult GTA IV!
  13. A lot of people on the staff team are students or work full time jobs. Because of this, it's hard to maintain constant updates whether it be to LSPDFR or the news feed. That being said, nothing is ever dead unless it's stated.
  14. Please only create one topic for support, you already have a topic in the French forum: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/80476-problème-els/ If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  15. While I haven't been through a polygraph test, I have talked to many people who have and gave me advice, as I also plan on going through the hiring process. 1. Don't try to "beat" the test. Be completely honest. Only a few individuals can actually manipulate the test, or rather the examiner, by maintaining their heart rate and mental state during control questions in which they decide to lie. If you don't have anything to hide, I see no reason for even attempting this. If you've done something wrong, admit to it. Don't lie. 2. Your answers should be either a yes or a no. The polygraph examiner may try to make you nervous by asking for clarification on certain control questions, if they do, be brief. Don't dig yourself a hole. 3. The examiner may try to pretend to be your friend, but they are not. They may want you to feel like you can trust them, but they're absolutely trying to manipulate you and catch you in a lie.
  16. I'm surprised that the videos aren't removed sooner with the Youtube reporting system.
  17. I already made a topic about this a while ago: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/77838-nevada-highway-patrol-retires-its-last-ford-crown-victoria/ Please search before posting. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  18. I would say it's sufficient for medium-high settings. We also have a thread with recommend setups for both budget builds and higher end builds for GTA V/LSPDFR: https://www.lcpdfr.com/wiki/recommended-hardware/recommended-hardware-for-lspdfr-r23/
  19. PLEASE TURN CAPS LOCK OFF BECAUSE IT APPEARS AS IF YOU'RE SCREAMING! Side note: Topic moved.
  20. I think it has less to do with the creators themselves and more to do with the way GTA games handle audio files -- the same reason it's impossible to have an accurate CVPI engine sound modification.
  21. Since you solved your issue, I'm going to close this thread to prevent hijacks and/or bumping. If you need this thread reopened, please PM me. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.

  23. It tastes similar to sushi restaurants that basic white girls go to after they get a mocha latte at Starbucks.
