I've been in a relationship for about 2 months now with an amazing Irish girl. I love it and it's going great so far but god damn women can be confusing sometimes (no offence ladies).
It just sucks there is a whole planet between us at the moment.

Australian stuff! Cars, money, clothes....hell, even road textures and street signs.

Other than the typical stuff like LSPD:FR and what not I would love to see some sort of picture in picture display or reflections like the house interior mirrors so we can actually use see what is around us better in vehicles. This is the only bad point I have seen about next gen so far. Truck driving missions/mods and stuff would be awesome in first person then.

I think there is another texture somewhere that you need to edit. To start with, on your emerglights file in the bottom left corner where those boxes are, copy the white one and place it over the red, blue and amber ones so they are all white.
If that doesn't work try looking through the vehicles WTD for any textures that look like the lightbar and change them to white (unless it's the emerglights_emis file)

What model is that? i might download it and have a look if you can't figure it out.

I tried to get rid of them but i had no luck. Sorry mate but i think the colours are part of the base model so the only way you can make the whole lightbar clear is to edit the model itself.

I have no idea how difficult this would be but it would be cool if someone can edit the animation for selecting guns. It may be possible to keep most of the animation process as it is, but shift the hand positions to the right more.
It's pretty unrealistic for a cop to pull a gun out of his rib cage.
Another cool idea: pull a gun from the back of your pants gangster style (like the ballas in GTA V) for those who don't play LCPD:FR.

I like the idea of the character switch but i would change it up a bit. How about a city cop, sheriff and tactical responce as the three options. If you begin a pursuit in Los Santos but the criminal leaves the city you have to switch to the sheriff unit and catch up to the pursuit again. As for the tactical responce unit though, you can choose to switch to this highly trained and well equipped person for dangerous callouts like a drug deal or shots fired.
During the LSPD:FR character selection we can customise all three of them.

As a twist, if one of these three officers gets killed he becomes "blocked out" and you can't use him again for 5 or 10 minutes.
I think this would add another level of realism of the mod while still allowing the freedom we currently know and love.

I think we are jumping the gun a bit here but why not....

I'd like to have different callouts for each area. some examples:
-Large scale shootouts, drug related incidents, drivebys and assaults in lower LS (grove street and such)
-Stalkers and paparazzi and such in Vinewood and Rockford hills
-Minor search and rescue operations and hunting related callouts around Paleto bay and the Chiliad Mountain Wilderness.
-Random firearm discharge, drug deals, domestic violence, random drunk people and reckless driving around Sandy Shores
And of course some normal generic stuff thrown in to mix it up a bit. These would be cool.

southaussiemate got a reaction from treyjames in More realism for lcpdfr traffic stops?
I just had a few ideas pop into my head while patrolling regarding traffic stops. I'll list them below.
I understand these could be hard, or damn near impossible to make but I'm just throwing some friendly suggestions out there.

    -Passenger seat computer access
After stopping a vehicle and grabbing the drivers details we could walk to the passenger side of our patrol car, check the licence and get out on the same side so we don't get run over on the freeway.
I don't mind if the player still slides over to the drivers seat...just have him slide back to the passenger seat and exit in safety.

-Ask a driver to move to a safer location
Before talking to the driver, place a waypoint on the map (eg. next exit ramp) then when we walk up to the window we can tell them to move to that location and pull over again as normal. This would be a lot safer if we needed to arrest the driver or make them walk due to an expired licence or damaged vehicle.

    -Increased fines/citations
I don't know what it's like in the U.S. but here in Australia $100 wouldn't even cover a "failure to indicate". A basic speeding fine is around $200 going off of personal experience.
How about options for $50, $125 and $200? maybe even a 4th option for $300.
It's not a big deal but it is more realistic.

    -Slower traffic
Have vehicles reduce their speed to a safe limit starting roughly 50 to 100 meters behind your car and speed up again once they pass the vehicle you have stopped but only affecting the traffic on your side of the road. Oncoming traffic should not be affected . Once again, This adds to safety and realism.
The construction zones on the Plumbers Skyway have a decent speed limit you might be able to copy

    -Call for assistance
Call for a backup unit to assist with a potentially dangerous stop such as a stolen vehicle or owner warrant.
After the backup unit arrives the cop behaves like your partner would. If the suspect opens fire on you the other cop can drop him. If the suspect makes a run for it the other cop returns to his vehicle and gives chase and if the traffic stop ends without incident he returns to his vehicle and continues patrolling.

Also...Any cop that joins my pursuits treats me as though i am totally invisible! They make no effort what so ever to go around me on the road. Instead, they will attempt to drive right through me as though i don't exist.
I'm not talking about a pile up on corners or any of that typical stuff. I mean on a straight road like Union Drive or the Algonquin/Dukes Expressway. Traveling in a straight line at roughly the same speed they will just slowly shove you off the road to get past.

Could someone PLEASE fix or reduce that. The pile ups i can live with.

Thanks for reading, I hope these ideas could be useful.

I just checked out the downloads area and came across a Crown Vic with a MX7000 ELS "drot" enabled lightbar (awesome car) based on the LSPD and LSSD cars from GTA V. This awesome car gave me an idea for a possible pack.

Think about how Rockstar designed the GTA IV and GTA V police cars and how they resemble their real life counterparts and the small things like "obey & survive" instead of "serve & protect".
With that in mind, why not be creative and make some vehicles for some other GTA cities and their surrounds.
Here's a few ideas for models and what they could be based on.

-Las Venturas metro PD  (Las Vegas Metro)
-North Las Venturas PD  (North Las Vegas PD)
-Bone County Sheriff/highway patrol  (Nevada HWP)

    -San Fierro PD
-Flint County sheriff  (Alameda county) forgive me if i'm wrong.
-San Andreas highway patrol  (California HWP)

    -Vice City PD
    -State highway patrol (Florida HWP)
    -(insert random county sheriff here)

I would like to see these on the DSF Crown Vic but I'll be more than happy with the GTA V vehicles to keep it authentic.
I could make up some textures for you if you need help. If you've seen my Australian packs you should know that im good for quality!

If you have ELSv8 the "_SLOTCONTROL" file should be in your ELS folder. With ELSv7 i think the file is in your GTA IV directory.
With both versions just add the following lines under the rest of them...

    [ POLICEW ]
    Status = on
    File = default_config

Pay attention to the position of spaces and capital letters and such or it may not work

if you done it right you should have all ELS features Enabled on that vehicle and yes, this should work on every vehicle.
Keep in mind though that unless the vehicle being replace was a police car to begin with, civilians will not move for the sirens and i don't think you can pull people over or use the police computer.
