You may have installed Xlive.dll instead of dsound.dll when installing some mods. Check to see, and if you still need help, please look through the GTA IV support request forum. If needed, please make a thread there instead of using this old one. I'm closing this because it's long been dead and should no longer be posted in. Nothing to see here! You're never getting a laptop in the $500 range for your desired specs. Mine (info on profile) was over $3000, which should give you a good sense of what the prices are. I went with a laptop because portability is a must for me, I can't lug around a desktop. You need be ready to spend at least $1200 on a fair computer.

It could also be the official GTA V Manual from Rockstar, it uses that logo as well. Regardless, it's nothing worth worrying about as it's either the save editor or the PC manual.

Note that this will replace the Zmod icon with a new application icon, it won't reset it.

Could you post a link to the file that you were having issues with? Rarely, something on our end can cause archives to become corrupted. It's almost always an issue on the user's end but I'd like to verify.

If you have the normal version of GTA IV (not EFLC), you can just change the file names from police3 to whatever else (police2, police, fbi, polpatriot, etc). Then they'll work fine. Example: police3.wtd -> police.wtd Edit: police3 is the buffalo police cruiser in EFLC, I believe. If you're wondering what it normally is. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests.

Zmodeler is set as the default program for opening .wft files on your computer, hence why its logo shows up there. In order to remove the logo, you need to remove zmodeler as the default. This isn't natively supported, however, so you'll either need to do some registry editing or some other type of modification. http://superuser.com/a/49617 or http://superuser.com/q/707196 may help.
