  1. Oh yeah man, someone is definitely gonna get fucked up pretty bad. lmao
  2. I think police officers pull the trigger based on situational circumstances rather than the fact that they are former military. But he's clearly not interested in a military career, information on that won't benefit him at all. By the way, the Guard and Reserve actually tend to deploy more often than active duty. So you'll have your hands full in the Guard. Plus, most soldiers today don't even get to see combat. My father has been in the Army for almost 30 years and has yet to see combat. He's been deployed to the Middle East several times, but has yet to fire his weapon at a live target. Just a good fallback plan if all else fails. Have you considered actually speaking to current law enforcement officers in your desired location? I don't see why you couldn't go to the station and see if you could ask some questions and get info.
  3. I lived in Fairfax a while and I'm getting ready to move back. The Police here get treated very well, but the standards are above average for the county police.
  4. The Air Force is very picky on who they let in. They want you to have absolutely nothing wrong. No ADHD, ADD, no widom teeth removed, absolutely nothing. Of course, if that were the case then we wouldn't have an Air Force. Some things are better kept to yourself if it isn't a life threatening type of thing. If everyone had been 100% honest about their health when speaking with the military, we wouldn't have a military lol. Have you considered the Army or the Navy?
  5. To bounce off of what he said, military experience can really boost your chances of being hired by a police department. The qualities and discipline that you gain while in the military are pretty much the same that police officers have to conduct themselves with day to day. Don't blow off the military, talk to a recruiter from each branch and get more information on the benefits and what you'll be expected to do. Even if you feel it's not for you, you don't HAVE to join just by speaking to recruiters. If you get information and decide you don't want to join, just tell your recruiter straight up you don't want to join and they'll leave you alone. Something you can also do is join the military and go to college while you're in, and reap the benefits of the military paying for your college. A lot of people join the military because of the benefits, and military service looks good on any resume and your record because, again, just the very fact that you served allows employers to assume that you possess traits: Discipline, Courage, Bravery, Respect, Teamwork, and more. This is the path that I'm following. Join the military, go to college while reaping the benefits, leave when I get my degree and get a well paying job. You can also look at the Reserves for a branch. There's a LOT more information on how this all works and the best way to learn more about this route is to speak with a recruiter from each branch. Each is slightly different. Something else you could do is go straight to college, but then you'd need to figure out how to pay off all that debt if you plan on going to colleges and the like. Either way, the military or college are both good routes to follow and will definitely boost your chances of getting in. Some departments, such as Baltimore City Police Department, have a guaranteed interview program for former Military Police looking to join.
Really dislike the package install. I can't even use these cars as a result, and I don't like having a bunch of different liveries with no way to change it.
  6. Only the officer knows the answer to that question.
  7. I think what 13ubba is trying to say, and he can correct me if I'm wrong, is that police officers don't have the time to plan out the appropriate reaction. While the primary job of law enforcement is to protect and serve, they also have a responsibility to uphold the law. We can sit here all day and talk about what the officer should have done, but the officer doesn't have all day to make that decision. It gets to the point where that officer becomes concerned for his own safety and well being, and has to make a split second decision that could end his own life. When it comes down to it, I think most police officers would agre with the statement, "it's either them or me" when dealing with a situation like that. Now I'm not necessarily saying that police officers can run around shooting people then declare that they felt their lives were threatened, but you've got to open your mind to their perspective of the situation. There was actually a small social experiment conducted, I'm sure the videos are somewhere on YouTube, where everyday civilians were given fake handguns and asked to play out a typical situation that the police would deal with. The situation goes wrong and you'd be surprised that every single person fired their weapon. Whats my point? You just have to consider their circumstances and perspective. They have families and children they want to get home to. They aren't going to take any chances when it comes to life or death when dealing with a criminal. Yes we need to hold out police accountable, but put yourself in their shoes.
  8. Put your mind to it, and you can. Give it your all, and you can. Shoot for the stars bro, godspeed! :)
  9. But in the scenario you've provided, the shooter is actively shooting at random. This means that if the officers retreat, they're leaving innocent people to be slaughtered by the gunman. What if reinforcements isn't available? What if the injuries of the officer are too substantial to move his body without causing serious harm to him?
  10. Out of curiosity, how exactly would you expect law enforcement officials to respond with your given predicament?
This is an outstanding police pack. The vehicle textures themselves are well done, the quality of the textures is great, and the interior is decently designed and detailed. All of the vehicles fit seamlessly into the world without any notable performance drops. I'd love to see some more vehicles added to this pack in the future, such as a Ford Explorer and Ford Taurus! :)
  11. Freaking awesome dude, I seriously can't wait to put these in. These cars are beautiful. I've got to go but when I get home I'll write it a 5/5 review!
  12. These look amazing, but would you be willing to add versions with ram-bars on them? If so I would definitely use this pack.
  13. Yeah I was having a similar issue when I tried to download the Police Toolbox script.
  14. As technology continues to improve and progress, less and less brain power is required of the human because technology will do the thinking for them. It's amazing that mankind is genius enough to even create such technology to begin with, but naive enough to sit back and let the technology do everything for it while losing its own intelligence as a result. I know people that can show you every little feature on an iPhone, but can't even prepare boiled eggs.
  15. Is there anyway that we can have the car files individually and manually install them to the sheriff slot? I really don't want to use the package installer.
  16. Oh hell no I totally agree with you. I don't agree with these types of pranks at all man. XD
  17. Exactly, it's ridiculous. It's gone from being a funny thing we can all enjoy to getting out of control and senseless.
  18. If you are a loyal Norton user, I'd recommend remaining with Norton. While Norton isn't very friendly towards mods for all games in general, there are ways to get around the security measures that Norton likes to automatically enact on your system. When I return home in a few hours I can write out a step by step guide and try to help you get around this problem in the future. There is no way to prevent it, Norton will always remove mods for all games. However, there are ways to restore the mods after the removal. If you're willing to go through the process every time you want to add mods that Norton deems to be unsafe, then I can walk you through it very soon. I am at school right now so I can't. Just let me know! I have been with Norton for years and I tend to visit some dangerous websites. Norton has saved my system countless times from REAL attacks and REAL viruses. The problem with Norton is that it seems everything "abnormal" persè, as a danger to your system. It's like that overprotective boyfriend.
  19. Sort of like those prank videos you'll see on YouTube with the dreaded "Gone sexual, gone right, in the hood" pranks where the guy will just walk up to an attractive girl and kiss her. The part that's hilarious is the very fact that people actually believe that it's real. Last I checked, a prank is supposed to be a joke that everyone can have a good time with.
Albo pretty much summed everything up with his review. This mod actually requires REAL police work, rather than just showing up and taking everyone that doesn't look right to jail. I love the amount of depth put into this callout, that's something that I've always loved about your work FinKone!
Outstanding callouts, truly amazing. I absolutely love the voice acting for the bank heist with actual objectives and chat options. It's definitely a nice change from the typical "show up here, shoot this guy" scenario. I also really enjoy the traffic stop backup call. There are many different variables to the traffic stop and it really keeps you on your toes. All around this is a creative, fun, and unique addition to the LSPDFR experience. Great work!
