  1. I'd like a better description of the vehicle and maybe a photo of it as well, so that we can see how this could have happened. Where was the officer standing? How fast was the car going? How did the driver not notice anything at all? You don't just drag a police officer under your car for miles it just doesn't seem possible. A real tragedy nonetheless and condolences to the family.
  2. I understand, I think the officers did an exceptionally good job in preserving the safety of everyone involved. I can't really say that it's a win all around due to the fact that the guy got away, destroyed two police cars, and injured an officer. I just don't think that the pepper spray and batons worked at all, otherwise the guy wouldn't have gotten away after being trapped for so long, and doing that much damage to the police cars. Of course if I were in this situation, I'd have probably said the exact same thing the officers said, but that doesn't necessarily make it appropriate. I'm not gonna lie, I would have swore 10x as much as these guys, so kudos to them. The only thing is that it's just very hard to defend an officer's professionalism when they use profanity against anyone. It's simply not professional, at least here in America it isn't. Police officers are supposed to enforce the law, maintain public trust, keep the peace, and remain professional. The professionalism was lost, but as I've already said it was lost with good reason. If an officer were to say to me "Get out of the fucking car right now, open the fucking door" I wouldn't feel too comfortable. Rather than continue with verbals and profanity and vulgarity, I would have stepped up aggression. Busting open the windows and moving from there, as it appeared the officers were only hitting the doors. Glad the officers are OK, but the guy got away; that's the bottom line. We can sit here all day and judge their actions, but these officers had seconds to make their decisions. We have forever.
  3. The whole situation was very interesting I'll admit. I do question why the officers didn't just open his door and pull him out. This is the first time I've ever seen the police just hit the door with an ASP or nightstick, whatever it was they were equipped with. Most of the time, from what I've seen, the police would bust the window and pull him out before it escalated any further. I'm not a cop so I can only judge from what little knowledge I have on police protocol. They did deploy the pepper spray, which that clearly didn't work too well on the driver. I think that the goofiest part of the entire situation is the fact that the driver actually got away, according to the video title. Overall I think that the police did an exceptional job here, just I would have personally been a bit more aggressive as to not get ran over. Again, I'm not a cop so I can't really say whether or not they did everything right, but I would have probably done a bit more given the circumstances. If he would have attempted to run anyone over, then I would have probably shot him. I'm not going to just stand there and let him murder innocent people or other officers. It's either him or me, and it's going to be him ten fold. Edit: Also as a side note, it's very hard for me to defend an officer on the fronts of professionalism and expertise when they use profanity. Of course in a situation like this, almost anyone would use profanity, that's understandable. Even then, it's just hard for me to defend a cop that swears at people.
  4. What devices do you use to browse the website? I'm usually on my cell phone.
  5. All I'm going to say is that you know your movement is an epic failure when the purpose of the movement is confusing and misleading. Let's drop the statistics and use some old fashion common sense for a second, good sir. When someone chants "black lives matter", what do you honestly think someone that isn't a part of the movement is going to assume? "Oh they're chanting 'black lives matter' but they don't literally mean that only black lives matter, it's more than that". No, that's not what the average person is going to assume. The average person, as evidently happening right now, is going to assume that the "black lives matter" movement only suggests that the deaths of black people by police are relevant; and nothing else matters unless the victim is black. I'd much rather support an "all lives matter" or a "stop police brutality" movement, but a "black lives matter" movement is just opening a can of worms. But wait, this is where it starts to get kind of funny. Recently there was a case I saw on the news earlier this weekend about a white person that was supposedly innocent, and killed by police. People began to start a "white lives matter" movement as a result, but it was quickly deemed racist and abandoned. Of course, it's perfectly fine to have a black movement, but not a white one. It's very hard to take such a movement seriously with such backwards logic. I've been on the side of law enforcement this entire time, and that's exactly where I'm going to remain by the looks of this "movement". Hell, I might even create my own movement. "#Policelivesmatter".
  6. Holy fuck, finally someone speaking some sense here.
  7. See that's the thing. I'm a very mobile person so I wouldn't be able to have a full blown gaming setup. I'd need a gaming laptop that is capable of running GTA V with LSPDFR and mods. Alienware is the only brand I know of that has s simple purchasing system and makes everything a bit obvious. Is there any other brand you recommend I can buy from? Sorry to jack the topic by the way, I'll stop now lol.
  8. Now about how much would it cost this person to purchase parts to be able to play GTA V on maximum settings, or next gen console settings on PC.
  9. I heard alienware is a good brand, you could always look into getting one of those.
  10. Absolutely disgusting, no words can even describe the evil behind such actions. Mentally ill my ass, If he's dead then I'm glad he's gone. People like that don't deserve the gift of life, they deserve to be buried into dirt and forgotten. If he's alive, I hope they give him a life sentence so that he's got plenty of time to think about what he's done in a room with no one but himself.
  11. I'm not sure why you're still holding a grudge on something that I said earlier. I admitted what I said earlier was wrong and I've made my current stance much more clear so I'm not sure why you keep bringing that back up. The point I proved is that there are plenty of jobs to go around. You just have to look.
  12. Yes. I'm targeting the people that say "Oh, I can't find any job openings anywhere". There are plenty of job openings, not very hard to find them actually getting that job is where the real challeng comes in, and it's where I assume a lot of people fail at since that's what I failed at a few times. I could easy name 20 jobs in my area I could apply for. The chances of me getting any of those jobs? The same as everyone else. Not very high.
  13. At least that makes one of us.
  14. Yeah I'm getting this issue as well. Not sure what's going on, I just get the error saying it's too big and it meets all of the guidelines.
  15. Nonononono, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if you can't find a job, you aren't looking hard enough. There are jobs everywhere, you just have to look. May not be the best job, but it's a job. If you can't get a job, that's understandable and probably not your fault.
  16. Good points you brought up but the moderators said that real life freedoms don't apply here. We have to follow their rules regardless. I didn't create that policy but just a small correction, Hystery.
  17. You've always spoken the truth when it came to things like this on this website. Kudos to you, and I agree 100%.
  18. Don't try to comprehend retardation. It's unfortunate that some people have it, and hopefully they get the help that they desperately need. It doesn't make any sense at all, but they don't possess the mental capacity to comprehend that. They're fighting for "freedom and civil rights" by inconveniencing Americans that have nothing to do with anything. There was actually a woman that supported the protest of the Michael Brown shooting but she came up to the line pissed, because she had somewhere she needed to be. This isn't sending a message to law enforcement, it's sending a message to the American people. The message is that some Americans really don't understand what freedom actually is, and don't understand the concept of proper protesting. This is why people were honking and breaking through the line.
  19. What would be cool is a mod where you play as riot police and actually simulate an entire riot as the police. People throwing stuff at you, etc.
  20. I never said that I'd intentionally try to kill people. You talk about me putting words into your mouth and you're doing exactly that to me as we speak. I've been saying I'd nudge them a bit since my first post. You don't just stand in the middle of the street. You don't know the people behind the wheels in the cars that drive by. Some of those people would seriously hit you and keep going. Depending on the type of day I'm having, I can easily be one of those people. Sure I'd go to jail, but you'd probably be dead. Not a very smart exchange in my opinion. Just get out of the street and we won't even get to that point. It's not that hard of a concept, really. "I'm not wired to use violence to get what I want". If you're in my way, then I'm going to do what's necessary to get you out of my way, violence isn't any exception. If I have to punch someone in the face to accomplish what I need to accomplish, then that's what I'll do. Would I want to hurt someone? Of course not, I hate using violence, but I'll do what I have to do. Again, the police don't just walk up to you and start assaulting and spraying you. The protesters were probably blocking the street, not obeying officers commands, being disruptive, all types of shit. If you don't do what the police tell you to do, then you'll be sprayed. Just the way it works. When an officer tells me to do something, I do it U.S. Army double time. If what they told me to do was wrong, I'll take them to court. Don't fight the police in the street, it won't end well for you. Yes, I'm making up hypotheticals because hypotheticals can become reality. What if there was an ambulance? Just as you can assume there wasn't, I can assume there was. it works both ways and I really don't see why you're still defending them. There's no sense to it.
  21. US elections have been a joke for some time now, this isn't anything new and the American people understand it. In 2004, only 58% of people voted in the presidential election; and that's the highest it's been since 1968. Just doing a bit of math here, that's the year that Obama first ran for president. The number of voters probably increased due to the fact that 97% of ALL American blacks went and voted, for Obama. That's just a little more than half, and that's not good. The American people are tired of it. Doesn't matter who we vote into office, nothing ever changes. Every politician says the same thing as Donald Trump really, "Make America great again". I currently work a job, and it's the 6th job I applied to and the only one to call me back. I understand how hard it is to get a job, that's not what I'm arguing here. I'm arguing, similarly to our previous discussion on welfare, that people need to get up and go look for a job before they sit around and claim that there are none available. Looking for a job is quite easy, especially in my county. They're everywhere, but getting one of those jobs is where the hard part comes in. I'm not saying that getting a job is easy, it's not. I know that from personal experience when I've been rejected personally by business owners and managers. I'm saying that if (certain) people would actually get up and go make an effort to find a job, they probably will. The next step is applying and doing what you've got to do to try and get that job. Sometimes you'll give it all you got and you just won't get the job, but someone else will for sure. That's because they have something that you don't, it's just the way the system works here. I applied to a job this weekend and got rejected, but my neighbor that lives up the block got the job. Why the hell didn't I get it if I applied first and gave the application my all? Because he has something I don't. He has a skill, quality, something that he's better at doing than I am. What's my point? Finding a job isn't the challenge, at least under my very common circumstances. Getting a job is the challenge. Now don't take this as me attacking your service. I've got a lot of respect for you for several reasons, I just disagree that actually finding open jobs is a challenge.
  22. Standing in the middle of the interstate isn't a legal or reasonable thing to do. I need to get to work and I'm not going to lose my job and plunge into a financial crisis as a result. I would have done exactly what the driver in the video I linked did. Not necessarily slam on the accelerator and TRY to murder people, but give them a little nudge so they know to get out of the way. Let me ask you this, what would you do in that situation? Would you just remain there and wait the hour and a half it took for the police to move them off the interstate? Officers don't just walk up to people and start assaulting them. They'll do that if the protesters have previously broken laws, and officers haven't arrested them yet. If a protester, or anyone, is arrested for NO reason then I support the protest of that arrest; And I would hope that the person that was falsely arrested would take it to court. I also don't think you've been in this forum long enough to conclude that I've never defended free speech. This is one of the very few times I actually support the police rather than the demonstration. You're not saying it, you're implying that it's reasonable. You're defending the fact that they're standing in the street and I'm supposed to just sit there and wait. Wrong answer my friend, wrong answer. Yes, absolutely. As I said before, I'm not going to get fired just because some fools want to stand in the street. I need to get to work and support my wife and kids. I'm not going to lose that over something like this. (I'm not married, just giving an example). What if an ambulance was trying to race someone to a hospital? That ambulance can't even move. That person is probably dying at that point.
  23. I did comprehend what you read, I just think it's a complete load of garbage, which is why I can't take it seriously. I'm going to stop replying to you now, this is only dragging on and it's quite dreadful.
