  1. Open beta without any attachments! EA & DICE are dead to me! Jumping into the back seat of a biplane while being shot at by a fighter, then taking out the fighter and bailing out moments before hitting a mountain. I forgive you, EA & DICE.
  2. That moment when Piers Morgan is not the biggest twat in the room.
  3. Whatever happens, It's a lot more certain than what happens when I post here… 4
  4. I'm glad they went with WW1. I think it is rather under-represented. Even if it takes a Hollywood approach to history. And to steal from a YouTube comment (that was probably already stolen): It's called "Battlefield 1" because Battlefield won.
  5. Hard to find sympathy for anyone who is a "professional" streamer/gamer. So, Microsoft... how many of these people can you interrupt?
  6. A lot more than 93.7GiB to keep from C:\. A lot of that stuff was going to be moved to BD-RWs but I never bought the writer/ The discs are also comparable to HDD £/GB. I also do maintain my computer with updates. My desktop has downloaded 811 updates between 28/05/2012 & today. 0.55/day, most of which threatened a reboot. My laptop has downloaded 2041 updates between 28/01/2015 & today. 4.33/day. Only 33 required a reboot, none demanded one. Guess what OS is the reboot nag. Neither device becomes slow from weeks of uptime. The only time my desktop requires a reboot for performance is if a certain program has eaten all the RAM and forced everything into the pagefile. Something that would take hours to return to a reasonable state.
  7. Paying to replace your/someone's window is a lot cheaper than buying yourself/someone a new TV when that daft controller(Wii & PS) flies out of your hand. Teens quickly learned to play while sitting down. So no fitness benefit for the lazy teen.
  8. Unless they send me 3TiB+ of storage to back up my files so that I can do a CLEAN upgrade--because we all know what a mess every windows upgrade makes and how fast a clean install runs--then I won't be having the free upgrade and will not pay even the OEM price. Those of you who pay 4-9x as much per GB must be smiling. Since I did not feel like being charged so much extra for Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate's worthless extra features (anyone of you actually use that crap?!), I would end up with the edition of 10 that's auto-update "service" is only disableable using a poor workaround (metered mode) or a dirty hack (disabling the Windows update service). But why would I want to disable updates?! Maybe because I like to not be kicked from multiplayer games or have an important, very large download, from a server with no Range HTTP header support (can't resume interrupted download), interrupted because Windows can't stand not being the centre of attention for five min. Not to mention the people with stingy data caps. People in Australia, where the internet is the benchmark for slowness or in the US and UK where monopolistic ISPs drag their feet to provide anything over 10Mbit/s. Before I get the usual response, other than the loss of frosted glass, I can stand the 10 UI. The phone applications crap can be uninstalled. UI wise, 7 > 10 > XP > Vista > 8.

  11. With M$ and Son(e-platform)y, I'm surprised they did not kill off the previous model the second they released the current. Or maybe…

  13. HEY! Until we have the ruling from Geneva, that is meant to remain confidential. VM is Virgin Media. About the only widely available consumer ISP that can be called "superfast". Paid for 100Mbit/s. And based on SpeedTest.net's results and Ofcom's, they still are the best for speed by far. But you will still need to complain any time it is very slow or down. Since you mention the age of the router, assuming it's not a POS modem/router provided by the ISP, have you tried connecting a device directly to the modem? Or if it is an ISP provided POS then switching it to "modem mode".
  14. Uploading to the gallery results in the error Sorry, there is a problem FILE_DOES_NOT_EXIST Error code: 1S111/1 plus 2 "" icon images per file. These two requests return 403 http://www.lcpdfr.com/gallery/submit/?_step=process&mr=MA==&csrfKey=[KEY] http://www.lcpdfr.com/gallery/submit/?_step=process&mr=MA== The attempted uploads are GIFs, 1.9MiB & 3.6MiB.
  15. Missed the beta, started downloading it the final day and it finished 1 hour after the end. But got a free copy with a new bit of hardware. Based on Ubi's last TC title, Siege, and videos, I doubt I'll be disappointed by anything other than their DLC/season pass pricing and my internet connection.
  16. It uses Rage Plugin Hook's Controller Buttons for controller, so you are limited to either MS' keyboard Keys, a 360 controller, software that makes the game think the wheel is a 360 controller, or software (like Logitech Profiler) that makes the game think that it's a keypress.
