LCDPFR Community Team and Staffing Updates
Recent changes to the Community Team, social media, staffing and more. There have been quite a few changes to the LCDPFR Community Team as of late and I figured that now we've just strengthened the team some more, it would be a good time to provide a little update on what's happening. Firstly, we are going to be creating a public relations section of some sort within the Community Team that we anticipate will give us some new capabilities when it comes to keeping everyone up to date and informed about changes over time. We do hope to establish a Facebook and Twitter presence shortly which we hope will allow us to provide small, but important updates that sometimes go unreported in this news section. Secondly, we're hoping to raise the profile of the mod even more as after enabling Facebook and Twitter registrations on the site, we're averaging over 120 registrations a day so there are clearly a lot of people who we think we'd be able to reach out to and promote to the mod to by establishing ourselves on social media - something which we've never done before. Secondly, there have been a few new additions to the staffing here on LCPDFR which haven't really been announced, so I hope that everyone will join with me in welcoming some of our newer staff on lcpdfr.com, NicolaiB, Penguin2254 and James. As you probably know, James and Penguin were both at one point in time section directors of the gtapolicemods.com public relations department. Both James and Penguin are well experienced in most aspects of website promotion and relations work, and will be working shortly to help take this mod and it's great community even further. As for Nicolai B, most of you will probably know him from his amazing YouTube videos which never fail to deliver. NB has built up a subscriber base of 3,000, accumulated over 2.35 million total views throughout all his videos and helped to publicise the mod in ways I never could. As for LCPDFR 0.95, we are making good progress towards releasing a second RC version which we hope will address some annoying bugs relating to callouts, as well as include some cool new features and enhancements to existing ones. Finally, I'd just like to finish this post by thanking you all for your continued support of the project as a whole, and for making our community one of the most vibrant and certainly the most friendly police related modding site there is. Because of everyone here, lcpdfr.com truly is a special environment which thrives throughout the day, every day. Sam.

Looking For Mods To Go With LCPDFR
For the first point, LCPDFR has a built in mode called Hardcore which will significantly increase the damage the player takes from AI weapon discharge. The setting will also apply Natural Motion physics relevant to the damage sustained just like when you shoot at a ped.

Police Brutality (Occupy)
I'm totally against all forms of police brutality, but sometimes during mass demonstrations and protests like these, you have to put yourself in the officer's shoes and try to imagine how you would feel when surrounded by thousands of protesters, a small minority of whom are resorting to using violence. Sometimes I imagine that the cops on the ground feel that they have to take control of the situation and therefore use varying levels of force to try to remain in control. It's a hard one really, because you see things like the 87 year-old grand mother in Seattle who was pepper sprayed, but then there are hooligans throwing rocks, bricks and whatever else.

View who gave reputation?
Currently we have it set so that only members of the LCPDFR Community Team and Developers can view who gave reputation points on posts, however as we are very fortunate in that we have a small and friendly forum set-up, perhaps it would be a welcomed change if we were to allow all registered members to see who gave reputation for posts?

.95 RC1 Control Modification
The E key is, in reality, the key use for actions like picking up objects, therefore if you have the action key bound to something else, you should be able to use that instead of E.

Police related trailer analysis
WARNING - 1280x720 SCREENS - DIAL UP USERS BEWARE! Here are a few screenshots, 8 to be precise, that I've taken from the trailer to give us a little insight into what we can expect in terms of police related stuff. This one shows us the front of the Vapid Cruiser and from what I can see, it resembles a Crown Victoria slightly, but looks almost identical to the default Vapid Cruiser in GTA IV. A close up look at the Vapid Cruiser from the front, you can see how it has a unique license plate and a cop inside. Looks like the decals on the cop cars will be more accurate, unlike the cars in GTA:SA. "Obey and Survive" (I love it) replaces "Protect and Serve", seemingly the same font as real LAPD cruisers for the "POLICE" markings. Similar decals to the LAPD again, this time with the Emergency Call 911 sticker. Again, the unique plate and vapid badging. Looks identical to the rear of GTA IV's offering, though. "Don't be expecting anything special with the emergency lighting" is what this picture conveys to me. Still, it is day time and who knows what the lights will be like at night? Also, if we do indeed have Venturas and/or Fierro as well, there is a chance those cities could have their own cars and set up. I've cropped this one a little to zoom in on the cops themselves, they look well equipped like their GTA IV counterparts and it also looks like they have batons this time around (or at least as a part of their uniform). Also, note how one cop isn't toting a hat - could this mean more variation amongst the cops? Finally, is one of the cops barking instructions to the others there?

gta v the trailer
The trailer had me immediately, I saw the dog, I saw the beach, the sea, and Vice City just shot into my head - it looked amazingly sexy. The camera then moved away, and expecting to see an establishing shot of Vice, Los Santos popped up and boom, there it was. Most of you will know that I was really hoping for the setting to be Las Venturas and the surrounding area, but it looks like, if the mountain, the San Andreas plates, the planes, and the desert/countryside looking shots are anything to go by, Rockstar might just have done it again and really made possible what we all thought would be impossible, an amazingly gorgeous San Andreas. Now, while the big question about bringing LCPDFR over to GTA V if it comes to PC is really unanswerable at the moment, we do hope to get into the V modding scene as quickly as possible once/if things get going and certainly, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we would all love to see something like LCPDFR in GTA V.

gta v
All hope for Vegas is not lost! The first trailer for GTA:SA only showed LS, and here we have the first trailer for GTA V only showing LS. I also doubt that they would feature the jets like that if there wasn't more than one location. Mt. Chilliad at 0:20 anyone? San Andreas plates?
