  1. This is being worked on, although the challenges involved are pretty tough.
  2. I don't really know to be honest. I'm not really in a position to comment about it atm.
  3. The only non messy and non buggy way of doing this would be to hook the internal GTA IV process for spawning peds. As LMS updates his AdvancedHook, something like this might become possible, but at the moment, it's not.
  4. 1 / I'd love to work at Rockstar North, but I obviously lack the skills and experience required. 2 / Favourite GTA has to be GTA IV - the depth and detail is simply unbeatable. I do, however, really like San Andreas and Vice City too, SA because of the desert and countryside with their own little small towns, and Vice City just has a special, nostalgic place in my heart. I have clocked up over 3,000 hours of SA-MP too! 3 / I'll keep developing LCPDFR as long as I am able to, and as long as there is demand for it. I can't wait to see what GTA V will bring the to the table, and we will do our best to get code running on it, provided that there is a PC version. 4 / Favourite police show is COPS, I'm not really a fan of British police shows, although there are some decent episodes and such going around on YT. 5 / None. 6 / I think it would be very cool indeed if we had a few CVPIs over here, but they would probably do more harm than good considering that their use in most situations would be rather impractical. Still, It would be nice to see a CVPI done up in Lothian and Borders Police livery cruising around.
  5. I could happily live elsewhere, although Edinburgh is a great city and I would see no reason to move. Ideal job would definitely be developing and managing LCDPFR, while getting paid for it, but meh. First computer experience, I really don't know, first PC that I actually owned is my current PC, but the first PC that we owned as a family was the one in our old flat which didn't have any internet, and was used primarly for playing The Sims on.
  6. When Jay pulls his head out of his backside.
  7. 1 / I'm on holiday until February, so no studying here until then. Secondly, in Scotland, Scottish students don't pay tuition fees (they are paid for by the government). 2 / I have absolutely no intention of going into the police. It would be a challenging and rewarding job, and perhaps something to consider later on, but right now I'm happy with computing.
  8. Post in the support section.
  9. I would love to, but it might be a bit of a logistical problem considering the many oceans between us.

  11. It's not really that relevant any more I guess, but when PPM was still alive, it was just a little humour seeing as the moderator on their site said that the mod was supposed to be realistic, yet you would arrive to a "man with a gun call" and get blown up by a 100% accurate RPG.
  12. Well, seeing as NB's "ask me questions about stuff" thread has proven to be a big hit, I figured that there might be a few people who might want to ask me some questions too. Hopefully this thread can also provide a more efficient method of replying to questions, as I do get quite a lot of PMs asking random things as is, and although I do try to reply to all of them, some of them do unfortunately get lost/forgotten about. For those simply looking for a little bit of information about me, you can find that on my profile "about me" tab. You can ask me anything you want, from my views on things, my experiences online, my life away from the computer, and everything in between!
  13. You can see the lights in one of the screenshots.
  14. It's simply too hard to implement any form of felony traffic stop just because of the open world nature of the game. You'll have cars smashing into you, backup units getting stuck, people getting in the way -- it's just completely impractical.
  15. Anyone for 10% off focus home interactive games?
  16. LCPD Female Prostitution Officers This is a little something that I made for NB's Tactical Intervention Team, but I don't think he ever used it. Included are a few textures which change your hookers into cops! http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/67-lcpd-female-prostitution-officers/

GPM's downloads have been broken for a while now. Have you tried this one? http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=438499
  18. It quite clearly says in the file information that this is a non ELS model. If you had the initiative to browse Cj24's download category, you would find that there is also an ELS version available for download.
  19. It's something to do with Windows 7, and it really doesn't matter.
  20. It is probably possible to use the SA ELM method now that we have the indicator mod, as you could easily have one set of emissive light textures mapped to the left indicator, and the other mapped to the right indicator, but it would force you to have the indicators on when the sirens were on, producing the yellow lights on the ground, and it would also leave you with only a tiny amount of light patterns.
  21. I will be making an ELS version of these cars as well, which should be out sometime soon.
  22. The main update is that this is using a different CVPI model. The one used in V1 had some bugs in the model such as missing lower detail parts which caused parts of the models to disappear when looked at from a distance. The lightbar is exactly the same, but I was informed that the Freedom is an LED bar, whereas the Edge is a strobe, so the Edge is a more fitting name.
