gta v the trailer

Featured Replies

The trailer had me immediately, I saw the dog, I saw the beach, the sea, and Vice City just shot into my head - it looked amazingly sexy. The camera then moved away, and expecting to see an establishing shot of Vice, Los Santos popped up and boom, there it was.

Most of you will know that I was really hoping for the setting to be Las Venturas and the surrounding area, but it looks like, if the mountain, the San Andreas plates, the planes, and the desert/countryside looking shots are anything to go by, Rockstar might just have done it again and really made possible what we all thought would be impossible, an amazingly gorgeous San Andreas.

Now, while the big question about bringing LCPDFR over to GTA V if it comes to PC is really unanswerable at the moment, we do hope to get into the V modding scene as quickly as possible once/if things get going and certainly, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we would all love to see something like LCPDFR in GTA V.

    If what I am seeing in the trailer looks anything like how the game will look while playing, I think I'm going to shit my pants. Unless it's just doctored up footage to make it look cool, and hide

Those Vapid cruisers are so awsome, it's funny how there's a text at the side of those patrol cars: "Obey and Survive"

Anyways, they made a great choice getting back to SA.

Anyone else see customized AKs in the trailer? Hopefully we will see the SWAT teams using customized M4s, benelli M4s and mp5s

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

I hope you can put a SAPD: FR for GTA V. I am anxious to know when will the GTA and hopefully not make us suffer like they did with GTA IV jejeje

(espero que puedan poner un SAPD:FR para GTA V. Estoy ansioso por saber cuando saldra este GTA y espero que no nos hagan sufrir como lo hicieron con el GTA IV jejeje)

Shit, it's still probably 17 months away, huh? (Wasn't that the GTA IV trailer time to release date?)

Let's hope we'll see children in the future as well, and disabled people.

Rockstar released a statement, where they announced the game officially, as well as stating that it "takes place in Los Santos and sorrounding countryside" as well as the game being "the biggest and most ambitious game we've made to date".

Let's hope we'll see children in the future as well, and disabled people.

Yesterday, someone who claimed to be a journalist for a UK game magazine "leaked" some more information about the game after having seen 30 minutes of gameplay at the Rockstar development studios. Among other things, he said "No children NPC at all. Ever".

However, the most interesting things he mentioned were these:

1. "The cops are much, much, much more realistic. If you kill somebody when you know there are no cops around you will not run the risk of a one star as often as you would in GTA4. The cops will use smoke and tear gas, dogs, riot gear and rams to knock down the doors of buildings you are hiding in."

2. "The game world is absolutely massive and will push both xbox and PS3 to the very limit in terms of what it has accomplished. Yes, the main city is simply Los Santos however is it AT LEAST 4 times bigger than Liberty City in GTA 4 and that is just Los Santos. The surrounding country side, beaches, etc are massive."

3. "Rockstar have included many, many more interior locations such as a shopping mall, college campus, police station, a huge hospital and there is also a vast underground sewer network"

4. "The city is full of NPCs jogging, weight-lifting, hitting on women, being chased on foot by cops, shopping, washing cars, fixing fences, moving home, filling up their cars, etc."

However, these are all just rumours and can't be confirmed. It could be these are all just speculations.

@Kjel

If any of that is true I will be so happy :biggrin: Just the thought of tear gas is amazing.

I also don't believe R* will ever have children in the game. This is mainly due to the fact that then the children would be subjected to all of the crime, murders, etc of the GTA world. The bad press would be explosive.

All of that is my opinion, of course.

@Joro

+1 to you to offset your negatives.... Standing up for something you believe in should never get you a -1, ever.

Did anybody else see how much dirt is kicked up by the truck/car in the wind farm part? Maybe the engine has been revamped a little.

Kids is a total no brainer, and will never happen for reasons mentioned. I was really surprised to see a dog in the trailer and would be amazed if it's in the game for the same reasons.

But, I can see R* getting around the issue from the fallout by only having police dogs and not pets.

The distinction being they are working animals not pets and when the inevitable backlash comes R* defence will be to point out the double standard and hypocrisy when people are outraged that the protagonist kills a police dog to escape but they make no fuss at the 20 police officers he had to gun down and the handfull of inocent civilians that got in the way.

Surprised R* would open themselves up to this but that will be the moral block they stand on if they do.

I dispise cruelty to animals but wont make an issue out of it when i am running down pedestrians by the dozen.

@Iconography

Indeed, tear gas and riot gear would be awesome :biggrin:

And you're absolutely right about the children. That would just be asking for trouble.
