  1. Nope, but should be soon!
  2. We look through this topic often. At the moment we're pretty set in stone as to where the mod is headed for its initial versions, and I have a very clear vision for some key parts of it. Having said that, a few interesting suggestions have already actually been played around with. Quite often I get ideas from seeing things that people post. You might remember the grabbing feature we introduced in 1.0. I came up with that after someone posted a screenshot from the scene of Poppy being arrested in GTA V on the forums.
  3. We want to keep the mod focused on police stuff, so there's no need for the military as yet. I'm not really sure how the backup options will work, although I think we'll keep it fairly simple initially. It isn't possible to assign wanted levels to peds. The system is designed for players only. Almost everything will need to be modded in this time around, GTA V has very little actual police AI.
  4. We won't be adding any military involvement. At this stage, the most powerful backup option I've thought of so far might look something like the FIB's equivalent of the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team.
  5. They're running into a few problems apparently. Guessing animation names isn't much fun.
  6. I have already found and tested this animation - it is pretty cool indeed and you can bet that it will feature.
  7. What an incredible picture. I may be looking for more from you soon :)
  8. Not for the multiplayer models. They simply don't come with holsters. They would need to be modded in (something which is probably quite far in the future) The normal cop models have interesting variations though - you can switch them between having their gun holstered and having their holster empty. LSPDFR does this automatically for each cop it manages, based on whether or not they have their gun out or not. What is this sleep you speak of? It sounds nice :(
  9. Best thing to do is use a downgraded version at the moment.
  10. There's no reason why we couldn't add the ability to let people customize where the police stations are and such. Regardless, I don't see this as something that will be necessary for quite some time. Also, we're probably going to be doing the whole go on duty thing differently this time around. What we have does actually have support for North Yankton already, although the map of North Yankton is too incomplete to be used for any practical purpose.
  11. Not entirely true, we're (at the moment) using the normal single player models for both male and female cops as far as backup units, etc. are concerned. I was tempted (and still am) to use the multiplayer models for the LSPD entirely, but they don't have holsters on their belts and their uniforms lack detail compared to the normal ones. This may or may not be something that comes as an optional extra at some point. I still have big plans somewhat related to this, though.
  12. Not sure, too early to tell.
  13. He's being arrested :)
  14. Yes.
  15. There's 8 new screenshots on the forum index!
  16. Some more news about LSPDFR coming later on tonight.
  17. Time's up, no trailer :(
  18. SAPDRR, doesn't exactly roll of the tongue, does it?
  19. There's plenty of things, but I'd rather focus on continuing to develop them than take the time out to make videos and pictures and tease people.
  20. Just a few hours left!
  21. Guessing animations/arresting mainly. LMS and I have also been working on something super cool since pretty much the start of the project. It is unfortunately as hard as it is cool, though. I think the donate button disappeared with the website upgrade. Speaking of the website upgrade, it was donations from everyone here that paid for it, so, yes, they do help! It is .NET, using the RAGE Plugin Hook which is independent of Alex's ScriptHook.
  22. Yeah, that's only one of them.
  23. I would love to see you make that video. It is 100% impossible to do without mods, and still 100% impossible to do with the mods currently available - guaranteed. LSPD Buffalo and Cruiser - not used in ambient police chases in the game.LSPD in Blaine County.Sheriff cruiser responding to the chase.Sheriff cruiser joining the chase.Player speech + animations. All added by LSPDFR. You cannot make that trailer without mods.
  24. Am I right in thinking that this scene from the trailer is also in the "Underbelly of Paradise" TV show with Steve Haines? Maybe? I'll have a look. If it is, the assets for it should be tucked away somewhere in the game, e.g. I remember in GTA IV the "hood arrest" animation was never used in-game, but was used for the "be a cop" TV commercial. We can probably look into this once we can look at the animation files (right now we have to guess their names). I think development started a few weeks before August 5th 2009, when it was first announced with a trailer. The first version was released on the 27th of August and featured little more than changing into one police model, spawning a cop car and basic backup/arrest support, plus some other buggy things. Oh, this is something I've thought of for a while, but I'm not sure how possible it would be to implement (at least as far as making it use the seamless google earth style switching in the game/overriding it) Nope, we only have access to a few files, and they aren't very helpful. The big thing will be when OpenIV can open animation files - right now we can only see their set names, not the animations inside them. Despite this, I made a major breakthrough with the arresting animations today. More to come, soon :)
  25. Not sure, but something we'll look into once we can. Still waiting on the games files to opened up unfortunately. I'm guessing nobody has ever seen anything like that ingame?
