SAPD:FR Has A New Name

Featured Replies

..and that new name is Rapid Response.

I am glad that they have decided to keep making the mod as competition within a mod community is never a bad thing.

I know the new name because it was stated here: http://www.vg247.com/2015/04/30/gta-5-pc-san-andreas-pd-mod/#comment-1998271128

Honestly, rapid response sounds like a better name than LSPDFR to me. (Dont bash me for it m8)

SAPDRR, doesn't exactly roll of the tongue, does it?

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Not at all. But at least there may be more distinction now between the two mods (FR and RR).

I was thinking more just  "rapid response" rather than SAPD Rapid Response. Didn't know they were calling it SAPDRR

The release was just too fast for me to truly respect their Mod as a whole. I prefer things be release as a whole then just throwing out a new version every 3 days.

Other than that I agree with those before me, competition is good!

That's actually just how they do things, They've been doing it like that since SAPDFR for San Andreas. It's easier than a few people testing and getting the same results. Mass tests are better in the long run and allows for user input, Rather than putting input on a mod that is yet to be released. PBG has always released demo versions of every mod they've worked on.

Gotta keep it knockin' like a work boot in a dryer.

I see. I guess that does make sense. Thank you for the explanation.

Maybe they plan to a Fire and Ambulance mods too?, having Rapid Response at the end allows them to use that when using LSFD or LSEMS etc.

Actually first responders would be the same because a first responder in every state is police, fire, medical, and some states include linemen because they actually are first responders when the three above can't get through downed power lines etc.

For me, I think LSPD:FR would be better than SAPD Rapid Response. They posted that they are making k-9 units, but let's see who's better on the end.

LSPD FR is what G17 are making. Do you propose to start another name conflict?)

I have no problems with Rapid Response, although I'd name it San Andreas Rapid Response since there's no SAPD

PalmBeachGames changed the name of SAPD:FR (The GTA V version) to SAPD:RR because of the name conflict.

G17 is making LSPD:FR.

Two different groups, two different mods. It shouldn't conflict.

I thought he was talking about PB mod's name, my bad.

I used to be apart of there administration team, It's changed for the best, as well as they will most likely make a LSFD:RR or however the hell they decided to make it like they did for San Andreas.

What I meant is G17's LSPDFR would be better than PalmBeachGames' SAPD Rapid Response/SAPDRR for me even though SAPDRR would be featuring k-9 units based from a post they made. I always trust G17 for making high quality mods, even they are not yet posting LSPDFR features for now
