20 May - 9 New Screenshots!
I'll see what I can do about any problems caused by using LSPDFR in first person mode - hopefully the majority of them can be fixed. I think a trainer or similar would be better suited for the player model thing. The short answer is, we really don't know. What we do know is we've made amazing progress so far.

Honestly what a very small number of people have to say in their not very thought out comments isn't a big deal. The simple reasons that we don't release stuff more often are 1. that we're human and we can only go so fast and 2. we don't want to put out something which sucks. I doubt it.

I reply to this topic quite regularly. Admittedly I took a break from developing today and put together the screenshots, then went on a killing spree with MichaelV in GTA Online.

The RAGE Plugin Hook is a script hook much like the one made by Alex Blade on GTAForums and the one you've all come to know. It simply lets you inject your code into the game and gives you access to the game's native scripting functions. The difference between the RAGE Hook and the other ones is that it lets you write scripts in any CLI language, so C#, VB.Net or Microsoft's managed C++. This is useful for us as LCPDFR is written in C# and it is what we are familiar with. Blade's hook let's people write scripts in pure C++, and there exist other ones like the Lua hook. The best bit about the RAGE Plugin Hook though is it is developed by MulleDK19 and our own LMS - both incredibly talented people. This helps LSPDFR as both the mod itself, and the thing powering the mod (the hook), are worked on by the same person. So, no, scripthooks themselves don't improve AI. Instead, using the scripthook, we write parts of our own AI.

During what would be considered normal gameplay, I've never crashed.

Crashing (but not the game)
Don't worry, you can still crash it if you really want. I found that 100 backup units -- all spawned at once -- did the trick.

As we move ever closer to the first public release of LSPDFR, here's nine brand new screenshots, showing just a taste of things to come. Be sure to stay tuned for more in the coming days - including the second, and likely final, preview trailer.
