This seems like a hyper realistic plugin, I like the concept and will definitely be checking it out! Do you have any plans to make AI alterations? My only concern is the AI by default can be exceptionally trigger happy and you can be gunned down rapidly with full health and armor. Also, might I suggest a potential for the player to be saved when in critical condition. In other words dead to the AI so they flee, but not fully dead so that EMS could save you?

For anyone who is wanting the default callout notifications to no longer show up (the ones that appear above the minimap when you receive a callout from LSPDFR). Launch the game, then, hit the pause button, navigate to "Settings", then go down to "Notifications", from the "Notifications" tab, you will see at the top "Phone Alerts", toggle that to off. From there, you can play the game as normal and you will no longer get notifications appearing above the minimap, it will only appear through this amazing plugin. Hope this helps some people :)

  19. Variety Callouts

Deactivated Member and 24 others reacted to LostBoyLazarus for a comment on a file

    25 points
@Abel Software Firstly, let me thank you for creating a new callout pack. I've said it before and I'll say it again - callouts can be the life blood of LSPDFR so having a new one is great. I've tested it out in my game and found no bugs and had no crashes. That said, I do have a few thoughts. I'll also hold off on posting a review just yet as I don't want to put other people off of using your pack so early in its release. Okay, so of the seven calls available within Variety Callouts, all of them are pursuits! One of them appears to be copied directly from another callout pack and another one could do with some work. The pursuits themselves are generic, have no backstory and don't offer anything new over other callout packs. They even use the same vehicles. Now, I'm not saying that this is a bad thing - pursuits can be fun, but to call your pack a variety pack when all of your calls are just pursuits seems wrong. Given that I can already use all of these pursuits in other packs so far I'm not seeing a variety here. The mugging call started well. I was given a line of dialogue to read and a pursuit started. After forcing the mugger to surrender, there was no dialogue without third party mods, no wallet found or other items stolen. I tried this call several times but the results were the same each time. I think adding a custom inventory to the mugger (a wallet, a watch, jewellery) would help polish off this call providing the player with a reason to charge the suspect. I'd also be interested to see the mugger flee on a sanchez or something - just for that added touch of variety. The MVA however was what confused me. It plays out EXACTLY as it does in another callout pack. The make, model and position of the cars, the lack of interaction options and a forced pursuit are all the same. This kind of call is a welcome addition but it needs filling. Let us question the drivers: - Which car were they driving? - Who do they believe is at fault? - Was alcohol/drugs/speed a factor? Small details which help fill out this call and add variety. I appreciate the work that you've put into your pack - heck, it's not something I could make - but I honestly feel that it's anything but variety and is offering the same calls as other packs. Maybe have a look at the mugging and MVA calls again and see if you can avoid having them always become pursuits. I think this would go a long way to improving your pack. The actual pursuits are okay, though I'd be interested from an RP point of view to know why I'm in a pursuit. Is the vehicle stolen? Did the driver just commit a felony? Did the just assault an officer? Hope you take this comment as it's intended - honest feedback. I enjoyed your pack but would like to see improvements made. Thanks for sharing it with the community 👍

for the people that wonder how to install this follow this path: open IV-mods-64-audio-sfx and open resident.rpf right click on weapon.awc and export open format to a create folder of your own. Take the download file from here and rename it GTA5_GUN_STUN1 and drag and drop it in the weapons folder in your created folder, replace file when prompt and close folder. In openIV still in the Resident.rpf on top click edit and click yes. then right click anywhere in the resident folder empty space and select import open format, select the folder you created open it and click on the weapons.oac click select and ok it will do it's thing and done. For the people that wonder, i think it sound amazing in game.

my suggestion for callouts would be 1. like @thisridiculous said stay away from kidnapping and money truck robberies cuz there are so damn many lol 2. collision (investigating ones) 3. loud party/Noise complaint (unique not a lot of packs have those) 4. domestic disturbance 5. selling stolen property (investigating would be awesome) 6. solicitation (not the stupid hooker one.... actual solicitation like hanging out in front of someones house/store/apartment/school 7. school shooting (kinda like the heists except an active shooter) 8. civilian in danger (threatening phone calls, text messages, social media or in person) (investigating like calling the person threatening would be awesome) 9. suicide attempt (investigating as well with this one) 10. vehicle rollover 11. street race meetup (like street races except you going to clear it out)

You know, this website thrives off being welcoming to everyone - the average user, the experience LSPDFR veteran, the brand new mod developer/etc. We allow users to show off work they have created, even if it has been uploaded before, or features the same things as another mod (strictly referring to callouts).

  30. Please keep comments and reviews on topic. Keep them related to the vehicle model and texture, this little computer file has nothing to do with real world politics. Do not report this file unless you have proof that it violates our file guidelines. IRL drama does not mean I will take it down. LSPDFR is a mod for people to RP as a cop, so it's only fair that both local and federal vehicle designs will be uploaded. Let's be clear, there are hundreds of other ICE vehicle packs that are not blowing up my reports. This is not real life, please be kind to each other. I live in the US and I fully understand the huge incidents going on right now, but this is not related to the real deal at all.

Since when am I to be brought into this? There are numerous times where i've helped people, even though in every single one of my files i post a FAQ about the model, and common issues people have. I went and made a Default lighting guide on to which i provided the communtiy and tried to help people be able to create their own police models. I also never miss credit people. I always provide a detailed list of who provided me with what part, and who even contributed to the model without providing me parts. If you are talking about the F350, there was a version I had received that you/dbanker purchased. I decided instead of having to worry about release perms, and going through the struggle of all of that, I purchased my own model. In the description of the file, I put provided from an unknown site by Garrett because We were working stuff out with the model. So my recommendation to you is that you not bring people into this pointless bullshit. Why you called my an arrogant asshole, is quite beyond me, and if you ask the hmmmm, maybe the 15 people I talk to, they would highly beg to differ.

You're very misinformed. I never took this down, it was hosted on a website myself and Cj24 ran which we eventually closed down due to relentless DDoS attacks that made it impossible for us to keep the site up. Secondly, I'd love to know where you heard this story that I apparently don't want people using my mods anymore? I made these mods for the community, so why on earth would I not want them to enjoy the very things I made for them? It'd be a different situation if it was a recently released mod and was hosted elsewhere for people to download, but to moan about a long gone mod that many loved and have been trying to get for ages would be foolish of me. If anything, I'm happy to see it resurface for people to enjoy.
