I kind of concur with @chadc78 . First off I can only imagine the pain of having unreasonable impatient complaints by people, who rather think of complaining first then remarking the effort going into developing such sophisticated plugins, it must be devastating...:  Seeing people not recognizing all of your hours of free time going into a project, which could have been assessed semi-professional work at that point.

STPD and UB almost never crashed on my end and updates where frequent with new lore-friendly features coming every once in a while.

With that said I don't want to hurt anybodies feelings by stating that this approach on that matter -  by deleting all of your files relentlessly - might be a little selfish.  A lot of my RP depended and still depends on those plugins and callouts, which eminently enriched my LSPDFR experience to a point, where it is a fully functional police simulator with a level of interactivity never reached by other sims. To completely erase all of your modding history on that page is a huge loss to many of us. Instead, the way of @Albo1125 's communication would have been a more favorable choice. By posting an open and honest statement concerning easily accessible to everyone on this page, keeping your plugins in a sort of legacy state and maybe revealing your source code to the public for everyone to review and refine, to take over the time you need for recreation.  That would have proposed a soft resignation with nobody feeling overwhelmed by such sudden events.  Right now everyone is left irritated and even sorry for not having made comprehensive backups maybe due to limited space or hardware corruption etc.

In conclusion I really understand the fact that they're a lot of people behaving like self-righteous customers, who don't fully understand the concept, the philosophy of a modding community in all of its depth. But there are also people out there appreciating every work submitted, offering support in every aspect.  And there are many.  In contrast this way of assertion didn't leave anyone contented and solely sheds light on the more regrettable part of our community.

Albo is now working, on that 1013 police sim game lol don’t think he’ll be back anytime soon.

Btw I always keep old files but I reset my pc coz if was going crazy (but it was fault of my power supple, CHANGED!!) so yea but PLEASE COME BACK MR. AUTHOR!!! We need awesome plugins like Ultimate Backup and Stop the ped

why are you even allowed to comment or put reviews when you just registered to LSPDFR cuz its crashing i mean in all reality most of the accounts created the first couple posts are about "this doesnt work" or "im new that doesnt work"  or  "i want this"

 

i was one of them btw and if i had a crash lets say stop the ped i would fucking give him 1 star review and say its sucks....

but since i played a bit i understand a bit more basic info about plugins(just reading posts and dipping into ini files just basic crap)now i would give this guy a 5+++++++ review he put to shame anybody with plugins and made LSPDFR BEAST i mean im so happy i still got all hes plugins.

 

my point is within your 7 days of registration/maybe have some reputation required to leave reviews so than you actually know WTF you reviewing since you got to play sometime and spend some time on the forums.

Sorry, but only the mod creator can share his mods with others. The only thing we can do is wait and see if he comes back with his mods... hopefully he will.

If I had permission from him I would love to share his mods with the community, there has to be a reason he took his mods with him and I want to respect him for that.

Not going to lie I am disappointed he took his mods down since I misplaced all of them and just want to find a download link again. I understand not getting the respect you deserve for putting out free content but to take it all down because of the reason I feel is a little harsh at least leave a big disclaimer that it wont be getting updated and the reason why.

@realmetrying and more people who throw shit at developer’s review post I mean if my plugin will crash I’ll just check what’s the problem and (tbh I never gave 1 star to any dev) it’s just fortune or something which idk but if my lspdfr crashes I keep reloading plugins and eventually after 2 reloads it works absolutely fine and I get no crashes afterwards. 

 

Please give respect to every developers of plugins, developers of LSPDFR because they could have made LSPDFR same like those firefighting mods or shit which need to donate money and still it’s not sure that you’ll get the files. I wanna thank a lot to all developers and modding community to make GTA V  good again. Love to Community and please don’t give 1 star to any developer they give time and money and energy making a single thing and I am 100000% sure they get errors too but they solve it and try their best. 

 

Come back Please!!! Don’t give up Albo1125 and author of Stop the ped, Ultimate backup (sorry I’m dumb idk your name) WE WANT YOU BACK please don’t leave us alone!

me too what happened it was such a good mod 

the author decided to take a break from LSPDFR due to some negativity in the forums with reviews or something like that

anyhow he took hes mods of the website(stop the ped and ultimate backup if you dont have a copy than you will need to ask somebody to send it to you but some wont because its copywriting  conflict

Well, shit. So much for LSPDFR. Those mods are indispensable and development is too slow to wait for reverse engineering or integration.

Agreed. LSPDFR is dead in the water without his work, or at least only a shadow of what it could be.

edit: I don't mean that to be a knock on LSPDFR itself, it's awesome all by itself. I'm just saying that BejoIjo's work takes it to the next level and offers the functionality that ideally, imo, should be in the core of LSPDFR.

It's not a knock on anyone at all, it's the reality of the situation. Development is too slow. There's things that can be done about that, but there's ego, there's propriety, and there's varying flavors of selfishness involved in decision-making on everyone's part.

 

Flashing Lights and Police Simulator are early access hot messes right now - they're missing the most key features we expect from any mod of GTA - importing and modding of AAA quality vehicles and assets and a familiar world with a sophisticated simulation behind it. As long as everyone remains smalltime - the hot mess that is GTA modding will remain the only reasonable place for this kind of gameplay.

This is why LSPDFR should be put on github or some kind of open version control site. There ARE some of us who have the skills and time to poke at parts and perhaps add components without everyone waiting for years at a time.

w0w who would have a negative opinion.. on a modder that did and do, so many things for this community..I am watching his work for the begining and i might say he is the most valuable modder for lspdfr..I hope he will come back stronger to offer us his remarkable and essentials mods..i did not have the chance..to try the last one..compulite but i know that will be top notch.
