Hey guys, recently I did a format of my hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10. I've got a fresh install of GTA V (the Social Club version, not Steam FYI.) Before I wiped my drive I had LSPDFR working with zero problems. I also want to add that I'm a very advanced user - not to throw shade on other users but this is not your typical "I downloaded LSPDFR now it crashes, halp!!!" type of post. I have a lot of experience modding in general and working with LSPDFR.
So anyway, before I did anything as far as mods or LSPDFR goes, I started GTA V and went through the SP until the first save you can make as Frankin (as I always do on a clean install.) Closed GTA, installed OpenIV, then installed LSPDFR. Again, NO other mods, 100% default LSPDFR install here.
What happens is, there's some kind of problem with LSPDFR where it won't show IDs and what not when I pull someone over and ask for ID. For example, let's say I blip a car and pull them over. I get the LSPDFR prompts as usual (press > to talk to suspect) etc, but when I ask them for ID, instead of showing up on the bottom left, NOTHING comes up at all. When I go back to my car and open the police computer, I can insert their name using LB or vehicle's plate using dpad down, but nothing comes up when I try to search.
It's like LSPDFR's ped database or whatever you call it is totally broken, or at least it can't be accessed at all.
I can't emphasize enough that this is a totally clean install, something I've personally done probably a dozen times. I'm no stranger to doing it... however this problem is throwing me through a loop. Is there some dependency LSPDFR requires, maybe a Visual Studio runtime package that I may not have on a fresh install of Windows 10? I have 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015. Not sure if there's something else or what, but I'm totally dumbfounded here.
Any help MUCH appreciated!
edit: Figured it out, in-game notifications have to be turned ON.... lol.
