FEAR ME     I'm using Albo's mods and they seem to work properly, aside from a complaint about being outdated. Traffic violators from Traffic Policing still show up as blips.

The real issue that I am wondering about, does this update fix the texture loss caused by modded vehicles?  LSPDFR 0.4 couldn't handle multiple vehicles and 0.4.1 didn't fix that unfortunately. @LMS

If you have the shield but not the badge then something is definitely wrong. If you can't see the shield either, I'd suggest re-installing 0.4.2. Try it out and let us know how you get on.

I have the shield but not the badge in my inventory in the interaction menu, should I re-install 0.4.2.? Also, I just need the two files in plugin's if I'm updating from 0.4.1,right? Thanks for replying. Much appreciated.

And I put the plugin's folder in my GTA V directory! Wth, man!

If you're moving from LSPDFR 0.4.1 to LSPDFR 0.4.2 you can grab the manual download and simply copy/paste the two files in the plugins folder into your own plugins folder. It will ask you to confirm an overwrite. Confirm and you're done.

As for the missing badge, are you 100% sure it's not there? I.e you're looking in the action menu and not the inventory by mistake?

Where can I find the action menu in the interaction menu, man?

I'm guessing that's where the badge is, the action menu in the interaction menu!

Will be downloading this tonight - looking forward to it, thanks guys for working so hard!

Can anyone confirm if the fps drops have been improved at all? It wasn't unplayable, but it bugged me that my brand new rig (Ryzen2700x 4.0ghz, rtx2080 etc.) was struggling to get over 35-40fps.

Always happy to try and help with LSPDFR Support

I've started making skins - feel free to check them out HERE

I was hitting 45 - 120 FPS on a much lesser system in 0.4.1... Getting about the same with 0.4.2.

I wonder if it had something to do with Windows update 1803? I know it caused a lot of Ryzen users a lot of issues - myself included. Hoping 1903/1908 fixes the issues I was having, and boost performance a little

@Sam, @LMS, @Cyan: Can you of you guys explain what the routes folder is?

This folder is reserved for future use and does not serve any purpose currently.

Hey @LostBoyLazarus (or anyone else that can help),

I may have missed this (as it was in the previous release too), but what is the folder '\Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data\routes' for?

Thanks for any help😀

Just loaded it all up and it seems this hasn’t been fixed yet 😕

Downscale your vehicle textures from 4k to 2k, not a LSPDFR problem but rather your own. GTA is not made to handle a lot of 4k textures. In addition, check that Main.preloadallmodels = false. ever since 0.4.1 LSPDFR is optimized and smooth, so there shouldn't be any problems

Yes, I had this exact issue before and this is what fixed it. If you look at the stock vehicle textures being tiny files compared to 4k textures you can see why.

Does anybody know where the badges textures are located ? Can't find it on the wiki

Ok I found this

Spoiler

Capture.PNG.66558344e7eddfb6c26cf67b922c00d3.PNG

But the texture file is

Spoiler

prop_fib_pass.png.14ddcc9948dde179c5f5d2136ee5e88b.png

And the only texture I found what can seems to be the FIB badge texture is in the embedded textures :

Spoiler

2.thumb.PNG.32954ddec06664f328fc7ae7d3dcbb5b.PNG

But as you can see, the gold texture is not exactly the one of the badge... So I don't know how to change this badge texture

I really would like to change it so if anyone has an idea please tell me 🙏

Thanks

You can set the badge model and texture an agency uses in your agency.xml file. There should be an example for the FIB agency. You can then either replace this model in the game (it is called prop_fib_badge, search for it using OpenIV) or you can install a new badge as a addon prop.
