LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from 2 Girls 1 Cop Police GTA in whats the best gameconfig. gta5mods suck ?I use Gameconfig by F7YO too and haven't had any issues regardless of the folder size I use; what seesm to be your issue? I tried 5x5 but found there was too much traffic on the roads so brought it down to 3x3.
99% of my crashes (which I admit are few and far between) are caused by ambient spawns. While researching them, the spawn frequency came up. It appears that even by turning it off completely won't actually prevent said spawns from occurring.

LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from V3ry H1gh in Lost MC & Tanker CalloutsNew callouts involving bikers, members of The Lost MC and tankers.
I've got my fair share of callout packages and have been using callout manager to see what each offers. I've not found anything that offers Lost MC specific callouts (shootouts, bike chase, ridebys etc) or tanker callouts (stolen petrol tanker, crashed/flipped/exploded tanker, mayhem tanker etc.) I feel that either of these callouts would offer a fresh option for patrols. I've found that pulling random Lost MC members over while they are riding in packs usually offers some interesting gameplay, however it would be good to get a call to a shootout where there are several members shooting at cops or something. I don't know, just a thought for any callout creators looking for ideas.

LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from Gyeongeun in Applying a Specific Livery (SOLVED)Hey community,
So I'm trying to edit the DefaultRegions.xml file that comes with Ultimate Backup to add a specific livery to a vehicle. I know what I'm doing with the file except I'm unsure about liveries so need some help please.
Currently, the lines look like:
<Vehicle chance="50">POLICE4</Vehicle>
<Vehicle chance="50">SHERIFF2</Vehicle>
That's what I want and they work perfectly. Now, say I want to change the SHERIFF2 line to look like:
<Vehicle livery="4">SHERIFF2</Vehicle>
But I still want it to retain the vehicle chance as well, how would the line look? Something like this? I just can't get it to work:
<Vehicle livery="4" Vehicle chance="50">SHERIFF2</Vehicle>
Thanks.
*SOLUTION*
<Vehicle chance="50" livery="4" >SHERIFF2</Vehicle>

LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from Lieutenant4Star in EUP Uniforms are messed up!I've been seeing this reported a lot on various Facebook groups over the past two weeks but have yet to see an answer. All I can advise is that its works fine for me (with one odd texture.) My advice would be to remove it completely and:
1. Install EUP - Law & Order 8.1 by Alex_Ashfold first.
https://www.lcpdfr.com/.../8151-emergency-uniforms-pack.../
This is the main modification and a straight forward .oiv package, so just run it via OpenIV.
2. Next, I install EUP Menu by PieRGud.
https://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/13245-eup-menu/
This provides you with the in-game menu (opened via F11 by default) that you can use to instantly change your character's uniform. You can choose from several agencies with pre-made outfits. You can also set and save your own outfits for quick use. For example, I have my LSPD uniform saved here along with the same uniform plus a set of gloves. In-game, I can quickly 'wear my gloves' when conducting searches etc and then remove them. Simple and immersive.
This is all you need to actually use EUP, however I recommend also using the following.
3. EUP - Serve & Rescue by Alex_Ashfold.
https://www.lcpdfr.com/.../16256-emergency-uniforms-pack.../
This small mod is an addon to step 2. It provides you with additional outfits to choose from including fire-fighters, coastguards, janitors, prisoners and coroners. It is also an .oiv package so really easy to install.
4. LSPDFR EUP Configurations by Alex_Ashfold.
https://www.lcpdfr.com/.../22400-lspdfr-eup-configurations/
This is the mod that actually applies some of the EUP Outifts for your character but also for NPCs (ambient spawns and backup). It can be used 'out-of-the-box' or it can be customized to fit your needs.
It is worth pointing out that you'll want to be running LSPDFR 0.4+ (I'd recommend using the latest build 0.4.1).

LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from fritomnky in Tow truckNavigate to Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\PoliceSmartRadio\ButtonSetup and you will find two files. Open them and you'll see strings such as:
<Button>
<Plugin>StopThePed</Plugin>
<Name>tow</Name>
<Enabled>False</Enabled>
</Button>
Set this line:
<Enabled>False</Enabled>
To True to make the button appear on your radio or False to hide it. Hope this helps 🙂

It was my intent to update these mods and the re-release them at the same time but due to ill health, I was never able to finish the updates. I've unlocked the files that were here before but I do not expect them to be updated any time soon.

LostBoyLazarus reacted toDeactivated Memberin [LSPDFR Suggestion] Global Activity In-game Scanner FeatureHey everyone, so I am a big fan of the Global Activity feature that tracks LSPDFR activity from players, I find it fascinating to watch it scroll and I often wonder what is happening in people's games. But recently, I began thinking about the idea of a "Scanner" feature that could be added where it could display the global activity in game in the upper right hand corner, similar to LCPDFR's dispatch log. It could be toggled on and off in the character interaction menu and in my opinion, would likely improve immersion. I wanted to get other people's takes on this and see if it would even be possible.

LostBoyLazarus reacted to Kasper Lostic in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Now Available!Maybe you need to adjust your PTT
To adjust your plugin timeout threshold you need to go into the RAGE Plugin Hook settings. The quickest way to open this is to hold the Left Shift Key and double click on your RagePluginHook.exe. Once the settings screen opens you can let go of the shift key. On this screen, you'll see a box that probably says 10000 and is called 'Plugin timeout threshold'. Change this value to 60000 and save.

LostBoyLazarus reacted to ZeroHour in Can't perform traffic stopsUpdate: searched and found a post from another user here who had the same problem, and did enough digging to figure out the problem. I dunno if y'all are using EUP with the LSPDFR config for it like I am, but this user was and it comes from apparently a call to a BCSO badge texture for the GUI that isn't actually there. Somehow that one missing GUI texture brings the whole "going on duty" code to a halt. To fix, open agency_eup.txt in Grand Theft Auto V\LSPDFR\Data\Custom, find the Blaine County Sheriff's Office agency section, and replace these lines:
<TextureDictionary>rde_bcso</TextureDictionary>
<TextureName>rde_bcso</TextureName>
with
<TextureDictionary>dia_police</TextureDictionary>
<TextureName>dia_police</TextureName>
And voila, you can go on duty as BCSO again.

LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from rena1 in Taser QuestionIs there anyway to increase the amount of time a ped will remain in a downed state after being hit by the taser? Currently, a ped will get up and proceed to carry on as normal within two or three seconds of hitting the ground. By the time I've drawn my taser, fired and replaced it, the ped is already back on their feet. Given that the whole point of the taser is to slow down a pursuit suspect, I'd like to be able to increase the amount of time it is effective.

LostBoyLazarus got a reaction from Johe Doe in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Now Available!See, people like you make me so angry at times. You come here complaining that something doesn't work yet you make zero effort to help fix the issue(s). You just point the finger at everyone else and say, "Hey, you did bad. Make it right!" Well you know what. No, go do it yourself if you can do it better. No? Didn't think so!
If you can't be bothered to learn how to install things correctly, don't come here complaining about it. LSPDFR 0.4.2 works extremely well despite what you say. Yes, it may have a bug here or there but its great for the most part. If you're getting crashes every fifteen minutes then you're doing something wrong. Where's your support request? Where's your log? Where's any information about your problems? See what I mean? You just complain without helping or making any effort.
Ambient spawn crashes were fixed in the latest patch. If you're still getting them, please post your log so people can help analyze any issues.
I disagree that people all over the internet can't play 0.4.2. I'm active on discord, Facebook and on here hours a day providing support for people who can't play LSPDFR properly. DO you know what their issue is most of the time? Human error on their part. Either they haven't read instructions properly or they don't know what they're doing. Very rarely is it LSPDFR that's making their game crash. Just consider that first next time.
Plenty of people can 'get into a police car' without worrying. If that's what you're doing, sort your game out first. Seems simple enough to me.
Regarding mods, please explain how that's anything to do with the LSPDFR staff? They work hard to provide a framework that mod authors can create plugins for yet... you're saying it's the staff's fault when external mods... don't... work? Okay, you know what? Sure. If it helps you sleep at night.
Report me. Complain about me. I don't care at this point. People like you need to think about what you're doing before you comment. I've said what a LOT of people are saying behind closed doors.

LostBoyLazarus reacted to Rodrigues BRASIL in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Now Available!Yes. He is helping me a lot. Thank you for the patience and understanding of you. -
So true. If anything it's easier to do something malicious with a plugin than with an installer, because many antimalware programs doesn't scan plugins as vigorously as they scan EXEs, and some people routinely run their game with full admin privileges (not that you should).
I definitely understand that perspective, and I opt for the manual installer 99% of the time myself. That said, this is a very large and complex mod. It installs stuff in some weird places because that's necessary for it to work. The installation process is fairly tedious and easy to mess up.
No mods folder? IMO you're crazy, but you do you lol.
