Awful Performance When Going On Duty

Featured Replies

I'll keep it short. The last time I played was about 4-5 months ago. Played with tons a plugins and even though I had crashes I always had a stable 60fps.

Right now with a fresh install and updated mods, when I go on duty I drop and stay at 40 fps average. Without going on duty its a solid 60.

I've heard the latest GTA V update really screwed up Ragepluginhook and its performance, am I right on this? Is there any way to circumvent this at this time? And does RPH think they can fix the performance in the future?

Edit; follow up :

Just took out all the plugins and instead of dropping to 40 frames it drops to 50 now. So the plugins definitely have some influence but just lspdfr as well (10frames). Weird thing is, even if I turn down my graphics the game stays at 50fps, doesn't even go up.

Tested it with plugins again and I can literally see the fps drop as the plugins load in. LSPDFR loaded in, dropped to 50, then the plugins and it dropped to about 42fps. I only added Albo's plugins this time nothing else. So LSPDFR+, Arrest Manager, Assorted Callouts and Traffic Policer.

Ill add some specs here, maybe its useful.

-i7 3770K @4.3gHz

-20GB RAM

-500GB SSD (GTAV Installed)

-GTX 1080 @ 1440p

-Windows 10

Thanks for any help

Mod it until you break it.

that's weird. i own a GTX 1060 and I can have steady 60fps.

i heard there always be a performance degradation on each GTA patch. the newer your GTA patch, the lower FPS you will get.

Albo's plugins tend to have a significant performance impact (in my experience, at least). Can you see what your FPS difference is with only LSPDFR installed (no other plugins, including nothing in the LSPDFR folder) versus the base game (nothing installed)? There is a lot effort put into LSPDFR itself to make it as efficient as possible.

Also note that car mods, character mods, etc can have an impact, as these are not always developed with performance in mind, like the default cars.

I drops to 45-50 (15+/- fps loss) with only LSPDFR. I have a minimal GTA V install especially made for LSPDFR so no excessive car mods or any of the sort.

Mod it until you break it.

Not what i can see. I have always seen this kind of performance loss and sometimes it really makes it unplayable. I tried removing  Assorted Callouts and i seemed to gain around 2 fps. It seems like Albo's scripts and also Keep Calm or Make Peds Calm Again is a big factor. Try removing some of the plugins to see what plugin causes the FPS drop. Its a bummer because Albo's scripts are a must have for good LSPDFR gameplay.

I'm going to be closing this topic as you bumped an almost three month old inactive topic, but I wanted to say that there's nothing to fix.  LSPDFR by itself is stable and doesn't cause significant, or any at all, FPS loss.  The FPS loss ultimately comes from all of your LSPDFR dependent plugins (aka callouts, etc).  What it comes down to, you have to decide if you want better performance or the full, diverse functionality of LSPDFR and its plugins.
