Disappearing drivers

Featured Replies

Hi,
I played LSPDFR today and yesterday and after, well, about hour and half, drivers disappeared and only ghost vehicles started to spawn. I haven't had this kind of problem since I started playing LSPDFR(!), just last days. It's only happening with LSPDFR, not during normal gameplay.
Is anyone having the same issue or does somebody know, what may cause it? I would be very grateful for any help.

(For record, I have some mods from Albo and 2 other callouts, RDE, radio and some other I don't suspect in this case.)

great tip is to open the rage scrip hook(F4) type CLEAN WORLD all of the cars (trucks vans etc) will disappear and reappear with drivers      I did not find this out myself someone else

Is this occurring on every vehicle or just police cars? Because I think it might be an issue with RDE. I've had problems like this running Custo's Sixth Star, which alters the dispatch.meta file just as RDE does.

I get this quite a lot after playing for more than an hour, one of the many signs of the horrible memory management in LSPDFR at the moment. No real fix other than restarting your game that I've found, maybe if we ever get LSPDFR 0.4 they'll clean things up better and we wont get it. The funny thing is they're usually not ghost cars, just for whatever reason the game cant render the ped model. If you try getting into the car you'll rip out an invisible ped first. I've even had one of them get selected by a GTA Comes Alive event, and get out of their car and start attacking me with a golf club - looks a bit weird seeing a golf club coming at you apparently of its own free will lol

No, it's all vehicles in general. RDE has DispatchGhostFix for this, which works for me very well.

I also suspect RPH from doing this. For since certain update, game performance dropped a bit. And drivers started to disappear just after the last update (0.45 I believe it is), not before. But I'm a kind of glad knowing that this is not only mine issue, I started thinking if the last Win10 update could do this, because their updates can mess many things up.

So it seems the only fix is to sit and wait ...

I moved from RPH .41 to .45 and started getting this issue only on .45. I'm not using RDE.

My initial thoughts for a cause was memory management and how I was using 93% of 8GB of RAM when I first started experiencing this problem, anyone else getting this issue and using up nearly all their available RAM?

Like I said, I also suspect RPH from doing this. It also produces lags when I use some corona mod ... I should notice their dev team.

Thanks for posting this, I was thinking I was the only one too. It only started happening after I updated to RPH 45 and then updated all of my mods. Here is what I am running

Arrest Manager; Traffic Policer; Assorted Callouts; Code 3 Callouts; Secondary Callouts; Search Warrant (Hello Darkmyre!!); Pursuit Deterrence; Police Radio; Radiance V.  And I just added LPDFR+ yesterday.

So no sound mods or player mods, very bare bones and simple as far as plugins. Though I do have almost every car slot modded.

So after updating all of that, I noticed that after playing for a while, I couldn't blip any cars. Then I noticed I couldn't blip them because there were no NPCs in the cars. I could still blip cars that spawned in via a forced call out. But every other car was driver-less.

I kept trying to replicate the bug but couldn't do it. At first I thought it happened when blipping the wrong car, cancelling that traffic stop and then blipping the right suspect car. But that wasn't it.

So glad it wasn't just me and thanks to Darkmyre for the insight above, I feel good that I don't have to tear my simple modded game apart.

Hey Darkmyre and all,

Give this a try when you start to see the disappering drivers :

Pull up the Rage trainer (F4) and use the CLEAN WORLD. I tried it today and was able to get the drivers back in all the cars.

Hopefully this works for you.

I had/have the same problem but only after more than an hour playing or so. I have it with RPH 41 as well as 45 so it has nothing to do with that. Also have 'Entity persistance' and the whole shebang.

What helps is the 'Clean world - True' command in the RPH trainer (F4: type CleanUp world true and then press enter)

Peace and Love

It's sad that you posted this comment on September 4th and it is now Feb 1st (almost midnight) 2017 and they are still having the ghost car problem. I haven't yet tried this simple fix, because i've only gotten the ghost car issue about 3 times, and I couldn't find a fix. Thanks, and I hope this works.

Just to add some insight , I've been having the same problem after about 30 min-hour gameplay as well .I just restart the game and all good. But good to know that there's a command to " clean world" . Will try next time

great tip is to open the rage scrip hook(F4) type CLEAN WORLD all of the cars (trucks vans etc) will disappear and reappear with drivers

I did not find this out myself someone else found out just spreading the word.

Thanks for sharing mate but reading previous posts helps. I posted this almost 6 months ago like 2 scrolls up (4 posts ago on this page).

Thanks for the effort anyway friend. You know, good intentions take you farther then not caring. Have a good one

Peace and a Colt .45

Wow i thought i was going crazy, i`ve reinstalled so many times thinking it was my installation routine or something more sinister, i do not use RDE, and the peds vanish after about 1 hour of playing. i was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why no traffic stops were working, then i saw 3 or 4 cars at a stop sign with no drivers.

Yeah, your first encounter with the "ghost vehicles" can be a bit frustrating and scary

I don't use RDE either. Although lately I don't seem to have the problem anymore. Or maybe it is because I don't play as long as an hour anymore before the game crashes :teehee:

I just used the CleanWorld command in the trainer and it works flawlessly.... thanks for the tip archierich1.......

@Tony Koekelcoren normally i never play that long either but lately i`ve been immersed in some extended chase`s without using a PIT manoeuvrer, which is fun...

LOL funny...it doesn't matter from who the tip comes but do you guys even read the previous posts? I posted this solution here about 6 months ago :whistling:

Now I start to wonder if you guys can  even see my post (about 5 scrolls up, about 7 posts ago).

Anyway, I'm happy you found a solution.

And I mostly don't use the pit maneuver either, unless it really takes too long or there's a beautiful opportunity.

Keep on chasin' 'em...

Peace and a Colt .45

Yeah, I didn't do it for the kudo's man....like I said, I'm just happy you found a solution. besides, I also got this tip from someone else a long time ago. I just thought it was funny that you and archierich1 didn't read the previous posts so I started to ask myself if they became invisible after a while or what...
