  3. Ever since the first police mod (that I used) being LCPDFR in GTA IV I have loved the work that has been put into these mods. With that said I definitely cannot wait for an update to LSPDFR. I really do hope that they allow users to change controls since 0.3 showed a lot of control conflicts that users had to resolve by changing game keys. For example: Anyone who plays without ELS and ELS vehicles, has to deal with the computer coming up any time they are stopped. I downloaded Computer+ to go with LSPDFR and the LSPDFR computer always conflicted with the sirens and Computer+. I've since added ELS cars, but that problem still occurs if I click 'E' while sitting still in a police car. All in all I'm sure that even without that simple change, the new release of LSPDFR will be amazing!

Been using this Tahoe for about two weeks now. I have noticed that it seems to be lacking in power. Not sure if that is a result of the model or GTA's settings from the original. Either way, it just seems like this truck is slow. I use my trainer to put 50x power and then it starts to feel like a V8 police Tahoe should. The model is very high quality. Love the attention to detail including the choice for all blue and blue/red lights. I went all blue. One issue I had was that the lights don't seem as bright as I would like. winglesschip209 mentioned that they were bright, but I disagree. I have Radiance V and many other police cars and the lights on the actual mode itself don't seem to be as bright as the others. Overall, still a great model and I love this truck.
Installed this mod and loaded the game right up. It works great and loaded with the numerous other mods I have with LSPDFR. It's great not getting run over. And every noticeable NPC around me stayed calm when I had to fire shots at a man shooting at me. I didn't get run over, attacked, or have NPC peds running wild and getting run over. Overall works great and I had very very little lag only when I was in highly populated areas (in the city). It was very little, however, and game was definitely playable. A must have for anyone else with LSPDFR!! EDIT: I did change the radius in the .ini file to 115. I noticed that NPC's still stayed calm in the area I was in when gunfire was exchanged. I believe this probably helped with the performance a slight bit.

  6. If you modify the vehicles.meta file located in "mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5" you can change it. I downloaded a car that had a black light bar once. All you do is extract the file anywhere out of OpenIV (because even in edit mode, you cannot modify this file). I extracted mine to desktop. Open file with notepad or similar software. First: Located the car you need to modify (police2 if it's in police2 slot, or whatever it may be NOTE: THIS WORKS FOR ALL VEHICLES WITH THIS PROBLEM AS LONG AS YOU LOCATE THE NAME OF THE CAR YOU WISH TO MODIFY) Second: Scroll to <diffusetint value="0x?????????" /> and change to <diffusetint value="0x0FFFFFF" /> (you are just replacing the value. Ignore whatever the value was before, just put a 0x0 followed by 6 upper case "F"'s). Third: Import file back into OpenIV Fourth: Save file and restart game. It should be fixed.

  9. Hello, I have been using LCPDFR in GTA IV for quite a while now. Problems come up and usually I am able to fix them on my own. This time I cannot. When I first downloaded LCPDFR I was unaware that there was an autosave option for LCPDFR (not GTA IV, but a save for the actual mod). I found that the game crashed more when it tried to load this save. I have since turned the "AutoSaveEnabled" option in lcpdfr.ini to "False" and it no longer saves. The problem I am now encountering is that the game sometimes (not always) tries to load the already existing save file for the mod. I want to know what this file is called, where the file is hiding, and how to remove the file (if there is anything beyond just deleting it). Thanks, -RotinOnion54.
  10. I'll get right to it... Lately LCPDFR 1.1 (http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/4607-lcpd-first-response/) has been crashing for no reason that I know of. When I had 0.95 RC2, it would occasionally crash the entire game, usually when I entered a traffic stop and the text displayed changed from "Pull up behind the vehicle" to "exit vehicle." However, lately LCPDFR 1.1 has been crashing in-game. The game will remain playable for the most part, but I can no longer do anything as a cop. This occurs after a short while of playing and therefor it makes the game un-playable. When I first installed the modification, I removed all of 0.95 RC2, and it worked perfectly. The other day I decided to install a script for more callouts. It made LCPDFR crash frequently so I removed the script. LCPDFR continued to crash. I then removed the LCPDFR modification and deleted any (known) traces of the modification. It's back to the state that it was in when I first downloaded it and yet it still crashes often. Please help, I am at a loss. I went to the Diagnostics Tool and it told me to look into the Log Files (that's where the red bar is). Included is my personal log. Please help me, and let me know what I should do. I am going to try and delete LCPDFR once again and manually install it and see if it fixes the issue. LCPDFR.log
