I think there should be more missions such as:

Robberys (Banks, persons, stores, etc): I'm sure this has been said many times, but I see nothing of it in the suggestions forum. A bank gets robbed and alarms sound, there are many units responding and you have to catch or neutralize the suspects. Another type would be a person robbed of his money or items and you must catch the thief and return whatever he stole to the person. Another would be a store such as burger shot reporting to be robbed and you must get the robber(s).

Kidnapping: I think there should be kidnapping missions where you must go and make sure the victim gets away safely and unharmed.

Joining in chases: I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere before, but don't see it here. There should be chases already going on where you can join as a backup unit.

Domestic disputes: Fights going on between a man and his wife where you must go and break it apart.

Shoot outs of gangs: Gang wars, where the officers with backup must go and stop before innocent people get harmed.

Car crashes and emergencies: The officer must go and control traffic and people when a emergency such as car accidents, people needing medical help, or fire go on, and must stay until its solved.

Thats all I can think of for new features.

Suggestions for existing features:

Make verities of suicide attempts, such as a person standing on a building threating to jump off, or at a bridge.

All I can think of as of now.

New features:

A radio system similar to the one of police pursuit mod, a sound on your computer of a scanner, and a car tuned to Independence FM where you can hear a police scanner.

EMS back up: Be able to call for EMS is a person is down.

These are some of what I think should be added to the mod.

That sounds like sex. But I can imagine it being a little limited.

Unless you make an app that does it for you, with several variables added. Like;

Police units already on scene? [Yes/No]

Type of callout? [suicide/Robbery etc. etc.]

etc.

You can either create a new one or edit an existing one. Perhaps more user friendly than actually coding the INI files themselves.

I think he was trying to say it sounds really 'good' lol (Silly people and their slang these days : P).

And the impression that I got from it was more likely it'll end up turning out that you can -select- exactly what callouts you would like in the .ini file (As, while I admit I'm not too familiar with the developing basis of GTA IV, it seems difficult that you'd be able to actually script calls just in the .ini itself).

We're actually thinking of a developer API. That's all I'm saying at this stage.

Infact, take a look at this:

So in short, users with Visual Studio (And C# knowledge) will be able to actually design their own 'Plug-in' callouts, and even share them around? Now that's a hell of an idea.

I do feel disappointed in myself though, even with all these stupid .NET hooks from most of these mods, it never once crossed my mind the .dll's were C#, Lol. </doh moment>

The mod is sadly (because I know C# much better) in vb.net Synapt And you can use every .net language and every IDE for our mission plugin.

@Jay: example.Enabled = True isn't needed, look at last optional param

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

So C# will still work? (Noting that, that looked more like C# source than VB, though I admit I have never touched VB.NET in visual studio nor had plans to, I just went based off what the source looked like and the .cs file extension).

You got me wrong, LCPDFR is written in vb.net but if you want to write a mission you have to add a reference to the .dll to use our functions. These functions can be used in any .net language and yeah you are right, jay's example is in C#.

Ah, gotcha, that makes more sense : P

Good, I can only imagine the missions I'll create already *taps fingers together with a Mr Burns laugh*

I dont get how that sounds like sex. but it does SEEM like your head is in the wrong place, Any who..

I dont think the coding thing was to be taken seriously cuz we obviously know theirs alot of users who are computer illiterate, thats Why I have this Job. I offered it cuz I have the skills some are in need of.. but he prolly said that so you guys can see how hard and complicating it is to code something to a point where theirs no flaws.. its not just put a code here and words there and Bam you have a cake. you have to keep testing sampling, fixing errors, debugging, and so on and so forth.. Keep the Forums Cleans also, No things that have to do with intercourse or adult stuff. theirs minors here and there. Especially around this site, kids love cop stuff.

(GTA is an 18 rated game, and if people are offended by the word "sex" they should really get off the internet)

But what i'm saying is make a small application that has multiple choices and options to make your own callout, and when created, will create the corresponding file that will go into your game. You could even delete/edit already existing ones. Simples.

That's not going to happen, would be too time consuming to make. There will be a developer API though, so anyone knowing VB.NET, C#, C++ or F# will be able to extend LCPDFR.

+1 on the spike strip.

+1 on joining existing pursits.

+1 on the car crashes - this would be a great feature if the player could go to the scene of a car crash and use the feature i mentioned above to keep the traffic moving around the accident.

This has been said before, but realism is the key tongue.gif There is always a police car at the scene of a car crash.

One other thing, how about a terrorism senario at the airport or a bank or somewhere, where the player has to go to the scene and a.) keep the public safe (by keeping them away) and b.) negotiate with the terrorists for a peaceful outcome, or take them down. smile.gif

How about backup that actually works? lol . I have to push the backup button about 10 times before ONE officer even shows up! Then I have to listen to the radio go bizerk for an officer in need of assistance
