I have searched this all over the internet and can't seem to find an answer of anything similar to what I am experiencing, even newest how to videos didn't help. When I am looking to install modded dlc car, they all ask you to place a line in the dlclist.xml and all those have the format as <item>dlcpacks:\gtr\</item> 

 

However my dlclist.xml format is different as in <item>dlcpacks:/somedlc/</item>

 

Why are the slash directions different? Will this cause crash? because the first time I added a dlc car, my game crashed. I don't have modified config file but I also don't have any other cars to reach max allowed. If I add a car into an existing dlc, works great. This only happens if I add a dlc pack.

 

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

I personally can't help you as, just like I stated in the original post, this guide is to replace cars only, and not to add cars to the game. If you're lucky someone else with better understanding will pass by and answer your question.

Just add it and format it the same way your other dlc list items are.  If you do anything different, it won't work.

I’ve noticed some police car slots have ‘wobbling’ lightbars and misc parts, but not all? The vehicles used in all the slots are ELS enabled and from similar authors, so it wouldn’t be an individual model bug. Is there any way of fixing this issue?

I'm having an issue where I'm trying to replace the sheriff and sheriff 2 files with a caprice and a Tahoe, they work in the game and have the lights on them but no working sirens on the sheriff 2, but the lights are misplaced and wrong on both, and as you said above I need to use common sense and read the "README.txt" file, however, all that says is the discord (which is an expired link) and "you have my permission to use these vehicles in Fivem.  It doesn't tell me anything about the installation. Below are all the .meta files for both vehicles as well as a link to there download. If someone could please help me out that would be very much appreciated. I understand its an issue I've done with the installation process but I'm new to modding so idrk much about it and know its a simple fix.

It's a problem that is, to my knowledge, inherent to only the sheriff2 and pranger files. It makes some models having pitch black tinted windows, and since many models have the lightbar glass of the same material as the windows, it tints the lightbar glass as well, preventing the lights from flashing through. There's a very easy fix for that. I don't know where else to go here to try and get help with this. No matter what car I put in police4 and no matter what I set the diffuseTint value to, all glass including lights are completely blacked out. I've literally tried ten different models and changed the tint value every time to no avail. I've been dealing with this for a long time and could really use some help. MANY thanks to anyone who can help.

@Hystery Hey man, I love the thread. I have been searching for a solution to fix my sheriff2 lightbar issue for quite some time now. I changed the diffuse tint value setting but it didn't seem to effect anything. Here is my meta line for sheriff2. I have a 2014 Tahoe in there, and I also use the same vehicle for another slot and it does not have the tint issue, so it is specific to sheriff2.

Hello i have a problem when i go to Police Garage and used the full installed upgrade Modification for my Police Vapid Interceptor the upgrade kinda weird like some parts of the upgrade is sticking out  lol i am currently using the Los Santos Police Department Mega pack  does anyone here be so kind to help me out as what i must have done wrong i have put them all in the least patchdatng which is 20 i have the folder from 1 to 20? the rest of the police cars have no weird  bugs when i installed the upgrade modification just that one Vapid interceptor 

Hello guys. I hope i'm in the right topic... I have a issue with some car packs. I downloaded it, i installed it with OpenIV, everything is great. It spawns in F4 console, but... the problem is it doesn't spawn in traffic or in Police Garage Car Selector. I tried to edit agency xml file and nothing. No traffic, no backup, noting.

You've most likely installed another mod (like NVR) that is also trying to modify the ytd or yft files for those vehicles. Remove those files from the mods and it should be fixed.

One last thing, my sheriff 2 and fib2 slots are modded, I've put tons of different cars in those spots but still have the same problem of me spawning in the cars through the trainer, having them spawn, but if i stay too close for too long or try to get in, the game crashes. It's also a similar story for spawning it in through lspdfr's garage, does anyone know a fix for this? Btw thanks Loot for helping me with the the last problem!

Can anybody help me out with ELS problem? I followed exactly as one is suppose to with downloading els ready cars. I put them in the right folders with correct paths but they still are either dim or jus blinking white. Can anybody help me out?
