Weird, I'm still having an issue with some of my modded cars not showing up in the game at all. My FBI and FBI2 slots show up fine, but my Unmarked slot spawns in a bugged out CVPI. All of the Police slots spawn in the vanilla cars. Everything in my game is working correctly except for the cars. I've tried placing it in 10ng in both my mods folder and the actual game folder. I've gone ahead and tried putting it everywhere possible and it still doesn't work.

I had a similar problem when I first updated to 757.4, except my game would crash no matter if I removed the models or not.

I ended up just recreating my mods folder from scratch and it worked fine with all my addon vehicles in 10ng. I suggest trying that, rename your old mods folder to mods.old and create a new one and see if adding them there works.

    Where are all the vehicles.meta, carvariations.meta, and handling.meta located for the police vehicles? By the way, amazing tutorial.

Edit: Hmmm, now I'm getting a crash. "Failed to zlib" or something. Says I need to reinstall the game. :/

Hello, I imported the cars in but it goes into the zip archive and I cant open it. What do I do?(I'm trying to place the chevy impala from the police2 to police3 slot)

Did you also copy the vehicles.meta and carvariations.meta from your old mods folder?

Everything gets wiped out by the patch when you copy the new update into mods so you have to move the car files into PD11 then copy or recreate the vehicle.meta and carvariations.meta. After you've done that everything should work again.

go to GTA V directory without using OpenIV, right click the file, then copy, then paste in mods,

 

 

@Hystery I'm trying to install a truck (the Ram 3500 to be exact), and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, because when I copy the carvar and vehiclemeta files from the download, edit the originals, and replace, it causes the game to crash. I've already added a few vehicles (and had them crash, and then fixed them), so I know how to edit the files, it's just that this time, I don't know what my issue is.

i have opened a request yesterday and thanks to managing member they have closed even asking the solution worked for me or not . Yes downgrading RPH did worked my LSPDFR 0.3.1 but it still says a new version Available . Plus Assorted Callouts and other albo1125 doesn't work .

Thanks for this great tutorial! :) It helped a lot to getting started.

Just have to ask how to handle carvariation.meta and vehicle.meta files. Because for each policecar there is a specific description for the proper installation of these two files.. Can I also copy the carvariation.meta and vehicle.meta files to my "patchday11ng"? (only add the specific line of code to the files) So I will have everything in one place.. policecars, carvariation and vehicle.meta files?

I've tried it, but it doesn't seem to work out like I thought... As an example, I imported a policecar3 with an rambar, added the flags for the rambar in the vehicles.meta, but the rambar still falls off. -.-

ahh ok. :) So I can only put the cars in the patchday11ng folder.. thanks to make that clear. :)

I have replaced the crusader army jeep with a marked  MP unit with lights and sirens, i was able to get the car in the game drives fine, spawns at the army base, etc. However i cant get the lights or siren to work on this, any solutions or ideas?

Since the car you replaced was not intended to be a police vehicle it did not have a sirensetting. You need to change it's sirensetting to whichever one the vehicle model you are using supports and change the audionamehash in the vehicles.meta to that of a police vehicle so it would have a siren.

I got a question for all of you. I have been using the added police cars carvariations and vehicles meta with no problems until now, I have 5 cars loaded and GTA works fine every time i try to install a 6th car the game crashes on loading and populating game world. i have tried moving the 6th car to a different folder with no change can anyone help with this.

Thats because the gameconfig.xml is only accepting a certain amount of vehicles and the 6th is too many. To fix this you can do a modified gameconfig.xml from gta4mods or do it yourself with this thread:

 

I read somewhere on the forum the carvariation.meta for police cars is crypted and can't be find. I need to get police2 lines and place it in police4. Is it still a true thing ?
