Attack on school in Sweden, one confirmed dead

Featured Replies

Earlier today, 10am Swedish Time, a masked suspect entered a school, stabbing four people, leaving at least one dead and three wounded. The man was shot by first responders at scene some time later, police officials said.

Later the same day another man was arrested in another County, while swinging an axe around another school, but that incident appears to be not connected with the earlier incident.

I find this horrible. I can't explain how it feels. A peaceful place like sweden and this happens.

There's evil everywhere, no matter how peaceful a place is.

Nevertheless, a tragic event.

This is a very sad and tragic event. I wonder if the attacker was influenced by the "religion of peace". Has anyone seen what the migrants have been doing? It's terrible.

Media reports that the suspect is a white male, with right-wing Nazi beliefs.

Probably going to turn out to be a great day for Swedish Democrats.

Relying on the reply I did up^ there, it didn't. Social media, afaik, is blaming the SD.

So that makes him right-wing?

not necessarily, but from what I've read from news (Aftonbladet, Expressen, SvD, DN) and forums (Flashback Forum (Gets called racist, but they get a lot of information before normal media)) he was a right-wing extremist.

Right, but do you just believe what they say without evidence? I won't believe that he was part of any party until some bipartisan news agency shows facts and evidence.

What about this: The perpetrator was living in an area with over 3 school within a mile, but no, he goes to a school 3+ miles away, and that school has more immigrants than ethnic swedes.

Or the fact that the Swedish Security Police is on it?

You misunderstood my point. So the police say he's right-wing? But my question is why? They tell you he's right wing, yes, but they haven't shown any supportive evidence as far as I'm aware.

Nazism/Extremist propaganda and info he liked on Youtube as it was stated is an extreme-right wing ideology. Extreme-right wing is on the same side as the right wing. So they are not wrong saying he was right wing.

“We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are determined to destroy this system under all conditions”

Sounds pretty left wing to me. Either way, I'd rather not get into this debate. We pretty much debate about everything, you and I. (: The way I see it, the Nazis had a mixture of both left and right wing ideas, not just right wing.

Adolf Hitler used socialist notions to gain the people and get elected, but never actually applied them, and always showed racist tendancies. Just the fact that facism (opposed to Marxism, liberalism and anarchism) is part of his ideology is enough to exclude anything left-wing related. As our friend Wikipedia says: "Fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum." Just wanted to clear that out, for the sake of spreading knowledge and getting rid of preconceived notions.

Fair enough. (:

Extremism in Sweden is only a response to problems which are never talked about in the Swedish media. I can honestly see why people would turn to the extremes there. It is a wrong and unjust response, but the media itself is creating these people.
