[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)

Featured Replies

Standard LAPD equipment, on almost all vehicles in the entire fleet. Spotlight will be on all their Ford Utilities, they also have alley lights and flood lights in the Arjent. Remember, if you're going to put in a spotlight, make sure it's an LED spotlight, not the old glass bulb ones.

NOT LIKE THIS ONE BELOW

THIS ONE IS MUCH MORE ACCURATE

This is much more accurate, made by Unity USA. Looks exactly like what the LAPD use.

Hey Desmond, I think that you should change the current white-ish brake lights to a more red, LED type brake lights. That's what they have on the 2013-2015 Explorer's I believe, and they would look nicer I think. Can't wait for the update with spotlights!

That looks amazing!

One question: What font did you use for the Sheriff livery?

I am not the author of sheriff livery

Will this next update fix the livery? Or was that fixed with the last update?

in next update(today)

hey desmond are you able to just make another explorer slicktop model so you dont need to use up 18 slots for the arjent and include other lights instead?

I'll start doing other versions as soon as complete the quitaly interior

in future...

I've added a photograph of a check-list, (because I'm extremely bored).

This is the list of corrections, which I've noted and noted by other people as well. (If I've missed some, let me know and I'll add them to the list). There isn't any particular order of importance, some corrections are just for added accuracy such as the hockey-puck style antenna on the roof. As far as I understand, no additional lighting can be added due to limited slots in the emergency lighting for one vehicle, so until ELS comes out I don't think much can be done about the last three.

what wrong with wheel balance?

what wrong with wheel balance?

Sorry, I should explain. Its a very tiny detail, but it's pretty visible on the rims of all police cars. It's for accuracy and has no real effect on the model

It's the weights added to the rims of all vehicles to balance them, they keep the car from shaking at high speeds. On civilian cars they're mounted on the inside, but the steel rims of all US police cars, it seems to be mounted outside.Untitled.thumb.png.bb15269f76d437cbad4eb

Orange circle shows the wheel balance weights.

Here they are on the LAPD Utility, they are on every single servicable vehicle in the world, marked with the two orange arrows. The "Hockey puck" antenna is pointed out with the red arrow, in case you didn't understand what I meant.

Is it possible to get the light-bars to reflect off objects, like the ground at night and off pedestrians and stuff like that. I have attached an image to help with what i'm trying to say :PPolice-Cars-in-Street-630x419.thumb.jpg.

It seems they already have

I need photos of this antenna

Oh, then i guess they don't show up for me? I have taken some screenshots ingame compared to the buffalo's lightbar reflections.

This is the Ford, and as you can see on the sides there are no reflections of the light-bars.

This is the Buffalo's Blue reflection on the right hand side.

And finally the Buffalo's red reflection on the left.
