Windows 10 in a nutshell......The best of Windows 7, with the updates of Windows 8.1 plus DirectX 12 so its ready for the future.

I'm kind of confused tbh, do I download it from that link right now or wait until I get the notification on my PC? I set it to notify me when I can upgrade, I thought when I can it would automatically do it for me.

The manual one is not localized, it's default to en-US which might not suit everyone I think.

Has anyone tried windows 10 yet? how gta v performance is it good or bad, I don't have a beastly computer mostly have a gtx 560ti so am afraid my performance will be worse :/

For me the performance if anything has improved. Windows 10 was designed better for gaming and was even discussed before by others who tried out the preview that gaming performance is supposed to be increased overall from win8.1/7, and it is from what I've experienced and seen. On 8.1 I was getting 60-70s average and now its leaning more towards 70-80s except for when I boot up all my plugins from RPH it goes back to normal 60-70s which is understandable because they add to the game's load. Overall if you are unsure there isn't a risk to upgrading because you can always downgrade as the upgrade creates a backup of your old OS and can be easily recovered with a click of a button in windows 10 settings as seen here: http://gyazo.com/585d015ff5922962c52cdeb7195678db

I doubt you will be disappointed considering once directx12 is out some developers could make their games directx12 compatible(maybe rockstar will do so for gtav) and future games will use it which is going to be amazing since systems will benefit from using all their CPU cores.

Definitely waiting then. The last thing I want is Windows telling me "colour" is spelt wrong.

Cool I just went on and downloaded it. I did notice a slight drop in performance for gaming though. Otherwise I'm absolutely loving it!

Just tried windows 10 and holy crap my performance when playing GTA V increase like about 10 fps mostly the game is running a bit more smoothly now, I don't know what type of magic they did but for Microsoft to accomplish this but they did a amazing job :D

I'm quite proud with my achievements, the Settings link wouldn't bring up the Settings so I kept clicking it then held it down, now its invisible on my Start Menu. I should probably get around to doing an update to resolve these issues.

Edit: Yeah, the Control Panel is just blank, it contains nothing on any of the pages. I'm going to have to rethink my strategy on how to resolve my issues.

"Huge risk". Not sure if serious. I have never paid for an operating system and probably never will. From what I understand its hit and miss as far as upgrading to Windows 10 from a pirated copy. It worked for some people and not for others. I personally run Windows 10 on a VM at the moment. Been saying I'm going to wait a little while before jumping aboard ship but its been temping.

I'm personally not upgrading yet because there are quite a few games that I'm thinking may have compatibility issues with Windows 10, look, even Windows 8 requires tinkering to get GTA IV working.
I won't be upgrading this computer anyway, since I should be getting a new one by the end of this year.

It's because GTA IV is not supported on Windows 7 even, you know. 

It's supported on Vista, almost the same as Windows 7

After several patches and driver updates, I finally managed to get my second monitor to work. Windows 10 is really slick and quick, but it's a tad confusing for someone who's upgrading from 7. I'm liking it a lot so far, though.

Nonononono. Don't ever say that. It's not nearly the same. 

What I meant was, until people have tested compatibility with it, I'm not going for it.
Oh, I'm sure people would like to test a obsolete Train Simulator that I sometimes play, that came out in 2001... (cuz why not, it's the only game that my PC can run at 60fps) 

List me all the differences you know form Vista to 7, professor ;)
