PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, remember to back up the following files:

  1. GTA5.exe
  2. GTALauncher.exe
  3. Update.rpf
  4. ScriptHookV.dll
  5. dinput8.dll

If you save these files like on your desktop while the game is working, next time there is an update you can play GTA 5 with LCPDFR, while waiting for the new mod fix.

I guess I'll do that next time, but for now I can't play LSPDFR :(

But the R * is not guilty, the problem is that many use the Rage incorrectly, and we like to play as a police officer just suffering

Take easy friends, i am learning english

I have a back up of those files, on another hard drive I dont understand how or what I have to do to continue playing though? Like do I move them to my game directory? Surely they would get updated again?  Can you explain how I would use the backups to open my game...

Yeah those files from the previous version before the update, you'll want to take those files and COPY them to the game directory. If you move them and not copy, you'll lose them and won't be able to reuse them the next time there's an update. The update.rpf file goes into the update folder, in the game directory. Don't keep the same backup files forever, because eventually the game will be fixed and you'll want to copy those new files and save them as a backup.

So by doing this I would over write the latest versions....how would I go about getting the latest version (the patched ones again) once I wanted them? Just remove them all together and let the game patch itself again?

Yes, but if you have Steam then you need to right click it, go to properties, local files, and verify integrity of cache. It'll replace all the files that are up to date on the last version Rockstar pushed onto Steam.

I backed up everything, but everytime I try to play offline, I get the activation warning. What's the point of having an offline mode. I use to play LSPDFR offline will waiting for the new patches. It doesn't look like I'll be so lucky this time around. Hopefully, Rage is updated soon and LSPDFR can play without any further delay. I know the modders are doing their best, but with LSDPFR, GTAV is pretty much dead to me.

MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI, Core™ i7-10700 8-Core 2.9 - 4.8GHz Turbo, MSI GeForce RTX™ 2070 TRI FROZR, 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) HyperX FURY DDR4 2666MHz, 500GB Black SN750 2280 M.2 SSD, 1TB MX500 7mm, 560 SSD

I'm also getting the activation warning. It's just confusing as to why you have to go online... in order to play offline. Makes no sense.

Just play something else to pass the time.

Disable the firewall rule to let the launcher access internet.

Launch it. Since the update of the game starts, enable the firewall rule. The update will fail and you will be able to play again with your old version.

Using the steam version?  Lets back it up to prepare for next time (because this is not the last time it will happen.)
