LSPDFR 0.2 Delay Update - 13 July

Featured Replies

Are we going to be abble to arrest without pointing a gun at a suspect? i Just remember  that top secret.squid or whatever in the club that the cop was arresting someone on foot not from the surendered position we currently have...either way thanks..and keep it up

I would explode with happiness. It seems like it may not work with this game due to the fact when you right click to lock on to someone, you pretty much start a fight every time. It could work if the arrest could override that feature but I'll wait to see it in person. :)

Nothing worse than sitting there talking to a pedestrian "what's that on the ground? A marijuana ciggarette?" ...Points gun at suspects face "GET YOUR HANDS UP OR DIE BUDDY!"

  • I hate you now.

  • This also confuses me. As small as the annoyance of not having LSPDFR while waiting for 0.1 was, this annoyance is even smaller. I mean, I get that 0.1e was unpolished, but it works fine.

How about channeling that expressive energy away from demanding and toward donating instead...

It would be ideal to be able to arrest or issue commands just by targeting, armed or not.

Also, is there any way to give - reputation? I think someone deserves some -rep points.

FtDLulz Said: And then there's a ton of plugins already out there if your experience gets a bit lack-luster. How some of these people waited for the GTA V PC release I have no idea.

INCLUDING YOUR MOD SIR. Everyone go download Vehicle Search. Great immersion and perfect for role play!! Thank you @FtDLulz

Thanks! :3

I wonder if they've managed to pin down that script crash yet. Hopefully something else unexpected doesn't pop up, though I wouldn't put it past Rockstar to release a patch to the performance problems and mess things up even more.

Getting very impatient with u guys!!!! Please step it up a lil bit guys come on Sam lets do this

That's kinda rude don't you think? I mean honestly, the team here is pretty tight nit and really work hard on the mod for hours every day. Posting something like this won't make them go any quicker, and instead of showing appreciation it seems like a sense of entitlement.

The team could have given up at any point due to Rockstar's attempts at prohibiting mods, or at least making them harder to make, but they're still here producing content for the players here, including yourself. Be patient, because I know from first hand experience the one thing that developers hate the most is being rushed and not appreciated.

Please, please please, read what I said.

Enjoy the fact that they are actively and aggressively working on the 0.2 on a daily basis. You must understand, what needs to be done isn't as simple as:

ifPursuit=True;
WantedLevel=False;

and if it was, I'm pretty sure anyone could come up with a AAA Modification. I'd explain the issue with Rockstar's most recent patch more in depth but I believe Sam has said enough on the matter to prove it's severity, and to prove that the time it's taking for them to work around these issues is well worth the wait.

Remember folks, you are not actively paying a subscription to have new content provided to you, so feeling entitled is part of the issue.

It would be ideal to be able to arrest or issue commands just by targeting, armed or not.

Yes when you like a post someone has posted you give them one rep point.

Edit: Ah my bad i thought you were asking how to give +Rep not -Rep.

Just dropping in to say a quick thank you to Sam and company for all the hard work.

Also, LSPDFR was just featured in a story Kotaku is working on regarding performance issues following the Ill Gotten Gains II update. Linking the story below for anyone that is interested.

He means negative reputation.

Yes when you like a post someone has posted you give them one rep point.

The forum software has two means of issuing reputation, the "Like This" method, or a "Rate up or down" method. The method the forum has enabled is the "Like this" method, eliminating the ability to negatively impact someone's reputation.

It amazes me how R* just released an update cracking down on modifications, LSPDFR was hit the most and they fixed everything within a day. These are truly skilled individuals.

Yes, you certainly have to give it to these guys.!! Pro's everywhere.. doing an awesome job.

What's that noise? It's the hype train! Awesome update, thank you Devs for working so hard and tirelessly to bring us all these new and sparkly things! Keep up the good work! :)

Hey Sam, just saying awesome job so far. You really recovered well from rockstars dick of a move. I'm sure you will get everything sorted.Don't worry tho about taking to long to release. We know with wait, come bigger and better with LSPDFR. Keep it up!

How are you able to stay on the older version?

On my computer, if GTA V hasn't connected to the internet for more then a week it will say that it needs to connect to activate. It won't let me play the game until I let it connect to the internet. I have seen some posts about GTA needing to "phone" home periodically.

Does anyone else have there game ask them to connect to the internet after it hasn't in a while or it wont let you play?

Yea i have had that happen in the past witch is annoying how you can play in offline mode but still need internet i have read that if you downgrade to the older version using 3 files from your back up that the game still things your on the latest update but i tried it the other day and it was trying to update it straight away so im not to sure

Awesome work. Although, I would say the DOB should be in Month/Day/ Year format instead of Day/Month/ Year, as it is more commonly used in the U.S.

You know the U.S. is virtually the ONLY country in the world that uses that format. I prefer the US format too, but I think that the best thing would be to pick which one you want. But I think that is the last thing on the devs.' minds right now, and rightly so.

Just a quick question for anyone who might know, I made a backup of all the RPF files in the GTA 5 directory because I heard that something like this might start happening with updates that Rockstar releases. When LSPDFR 0.2 is released, should I place it with the files from the previous update because it will perform better, or put it with the latest updated files? I guess 0.2 is being optimized for the latest version of GTA but I'm guessing performance would be better on a previous build regardless???

Sam already said that it should adjust to your system's date/time format, which is pretty neat.

Thanks for the update Sam! Appreciate all your hard work. Just noticed the donation tab ;)
