I'd like to know how configurable LSPDFR might be. Can we change officers or vehicles or weapons spawned? Will it read, say, dispatch or loadout meta or other files?

I have refrained from replying to this topic because I have nothing nice to say to those who are responding to it. I think the majority of you are entitled jackwagons that can't be bothered to support the developers of a free mod by not demanding a release date. You are not entitled to this mod. You get to play the hardwork of G17 because they want to provide us a great police mod for GTA 5.

I am excited for this announcement. I've read through all 30 pages and wanted to slap many of you. Learn to be patient. If you can't be patient. Learn not to reply with useless questions or demands. They will provide the features that they want to provide. LCPDFR is a good example of their work. I'd expect they want to provide the same level of gameplay and if not more.

It doesn't take a genious to know it will be released when ready. It will have the basic features for the first version. More updates and more content as time goes on. LCPDFR was very basic at the beginning. I think because of their knowledge and help they have now the first version will be really good.

So be patient. Also IDGAF if you're butthurt. Keep it up G17. Mods should delete these useless posts. This is a useless post. Shouldn't need to be said. Should be common sense.

​Hey man same here. That or Police mod 1.0c Rev 5 which is cool but not the same. GTA IV still being bad though, giving infinite loading screen or some shit. The recent update didn't real affect me. Just took out a graphics enhancement that was in the end screwing my PC anyway. Replaced he ScripthookV and I was good as gold.

I'm really excited to see how traffic stops work. I really liked them in LCPDFR 1.1. And I'm very interessted to see the ai behavior. In LCPDFR I was killed dozen of times while standing at the left side of the stopped car.

 

I hope the tow-truck-service-function will be better than in lcpdfr.

I'm mostly excited to see how the pursuits work and hopefully the AI police backup don't drive like they're on drugs or something. 

I know LSPDFR will not have everything on the first release and I'm okay with that I'm sure it will be awesome in any capacity.

1. Can / Will LSPDFR have a character save/customization page that we can save stats or load outs of our officers?  I think it would be cool to have several load outs/characters that we can switch between such as an LSPD officer v.s. Sheriff.

2. How will stats be recorded, before it was tracked by the LCPDFR webpage if you linked it but couldn't reset or anything else will there be an in game tracker that we can tie with our profile or keep it separate if we choose?

3. Can LSPDFR have a built in option to have in-game ranking system that you can work your way through the ranks from rookie - corporal - Sgt etc? 

We've had the ranking system up for discussion a few times before, and the responses have mostly been negative / not supportive for various good reasons that I agree with. Not everyone want to do serious roleplaying with ranks, most just want to play the mod and have access to it all from start.

​Can you solve this but having a option selector to turn it on or off? Not sure off all the reasons that were discussed but seems to me that it can be a simple toggle to solve that issue.  I know many mega type mods (Not with GTA) has an option to have various options on/off depending on the user preference not sure if LSPD:FR can be made to have this option or not.

​Don't like the idea. I don't play that often so when I play I want access to all features.

​That can be solved in one of two ways.  First there can be a unlock all option or even better an option where you can select your rank from the very start.  

Or both... both sounds good.  

Actually if LSPD:FR has an option selector you can select a "Career mode" and play through it or just be left with the original unlocked version.  

I think we've decided we're not interested in including the ranking system with unlocks. The leaderboard might return in the future. 

Also, it's LSPDFR. There's no : in the name.
