Ford announced they will be releasing a new Police Interceptor Model February 12th, at the Chicago Auto festival and revealed an outline image of the new Police Cruiser.

It seems like a new edition to the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor lineup, just looks more like raptor type design on an SUV. 

 

But we'll see! Thanks for that.

It's the Ford Explorer, you can tell by the headlights and grille shape. Plus it'd make sense since the Explorer was redesigned, the Police Interceptor version is obviously going to be overhauled too.

Don't really care what Ford puts out anymore. Still don't understand why they downgraded from the CVPI to the Taurus based model. The only other police car that I can think of that could compete with the greatness of the CVPI is the Chevy Caprice from the 80s and 90s, I have heard some good stories about those from older officers.

They'll redebut the Crown Vic in maybe 2020, they will take a look at the crown vic and think how good it was and try to remake it to be better. Believe me.

I am very confident that Ford will bring back the Crown Vic eventually just like Chevy brough back the Caprice (even though it wasn't ever completely gone). I'm just hoping it will be as good as the CVPI is. Normally I hate it when people say "if it ain't broke don't fix it" because that is such a redneck and stupid thing to say but I feel it actually applies to this situation.

Crown Vic is and always in my opinion be a excellent police interceptor I have faith that it will be brought back and better then ever, and personally I like the looks of it

It's an Interceptor Utility according to a facebook post by Ford. Therefore... based on how the lights looked... It's based off the 2016 Ford Explorer.

Looks pretty nice. Interested to see if they make any changes to the Sedan.
