I liked "We Were Soldiers" with Mel Gibson. It's really emotional and it's action packed, and it also includes the home front perspective of the Vietnam War.

I say go with "the longest day" or "captin Philip"

Black Hawk Down. One of my favorite military movies.

 

 

American Sniper was truly amazing, even though I believe it is still in the theaters. Zero Dark Thirty is also a really great movie, it is very similar to Captain Philips.

 

Top Gun, Behind Enemy Lines, Top Gun, Black Hawk Down, Top Gun, Lone Survivor, Top Gun, Saving Private Ryan oh and did I mention Top Gun?

Lone survivor. 

 

You need to watch this, I watched it 3 times and it's so emotional. It recreates a true story called "Operation Red Wings" where 4 soldiers (i think) go out in Afghanistan assigned to kill a target. The group stumbled upon afghan civilians and they were compromised..... Ain't going to spoil. Lol.

woooohooo ma fave topic. i LOVE movies. okay so here are a few i liked comedy wise..Slammin Salmon, Beerfest, Road Trip, Pawnshop Chronicles was beast!!! i love that movie. i wanted to start a part where i could post links to movies so we could all watch but i dont know if its allowed.

The Departed, Hot Fuzz, End of Watch, Super Troopers, Ride Along, Black Hawk Down are pretty good police/military movies

Naked Gun, Airplane!, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight Series, & Captain America are my favorites.

i watched match it has the actor that played picard. it was an amazing film. keep those movies coming i will add to wishlist and rent list :D
