Before i get to the point, i just want to point out that i am not trying to step on any toes or start any arguement's of any kind toward's the rep system,

it's just an IDEA, anyway,

Well i have read through the forum and saw some thing's that could damage the right to have the rep system, i personally enjoy it and it makes me feel like i did a good thing when i open my LCPDFR profile page everyday and see that i got a +1, don't really care about the negative but whatever, what i'm getting at is, why not put an option to click on the spot where you got a + or - 1 to see who it was, chances are people are not going to abuse it if they know that people are going to look to see who it was ( i know i get curious), it would probably also make it easier for the admin's to identify whoever is abusing the rep system and rectify the problem before we lose this awesome privaledge,

there are probably member's of the LCPDFR as well as Admin's who may or may not care about the rep system, but there is alway's the option to have a poll, the one with the least amount of vote's loses example( if the poll votes AGAINST keeping the rep system) then just get rid of it, end of arguement.

( I hope i posted this in the right section, don't shoot me if i didn't)

Moderators can already click on a person's rep in a post and see who gave it or removed it.

We don't need other members seeing it, otherwise they'd start attacking eachother verbally.

Yeah, making it public will just encourage people to write angry PMs like this: "Y U GIEF ME -1 I ALWEYS USE GOOD GRAMER????????!!!!1111111" to other members.

But at the same time it may also detour such issues, i know that it's a BIG chance BUT there are the ones that are fair and don't abuse the system (Tom H, NicolaiB, Harper, Break, Dhruv,Sam,cj24,JAM-Justin35) those are the names i see more often in the forum's,

or to make it much simpler just have a poll, it's actually annoying that people can ruin such a privaledge.

That's 7 people out of the whole forum. We have +150 registrations a day, take a look in the support section and you will see why this won't come. Seriously, look into the support section, but please be aware that you might lose all faith in human intelligence.

I can assure you we come down hard on rep abusers.

The other day we dusted off the banhammer before using it on a certain member because they used multiple accounts to rep themselves.

I for one, do not want this system to go public, as break said. Look at the support section.

Got to agree, also people will start giving others -1 on every post they make just because they were given one by that person.

I also would hate to see the rep system removed. It's something you earn and it's nice to know that your help/input is appreciated by others.

You give an option to leave a reason why you were Repped up or down. No name on it of course.

Honestly i never even thought of any of the stuff that was mentioned, bottom line, if such people keeping abusing the rep system it will be gone, either way you look at it, the -1 will be abused by spammer's and the +1 will be abused by people with multiple account's, i for 1 don't normally give -1's, if you do help me out in anyway, i give whoever helped me a +1, why? because in my opinion, it's incentive to help other's, while also knowing you did a good job helping someone else, today for example, i got my 1st -1 today for what reason, i don't know

Why don't we just remove the -1 option if it is causing so much trouble? I'm sure a lot more people are negatively abusing the reputation system, rather than abusing it for their selfish needs, as the latter requires a lot more effort than the former.

@Supper, what good would it do? there will still be the f*ck tard's abusing the +1.

Like harper said, If you abuse the system whether it's via -1 or +1 then you will be banned from the site. I think it's the most effective way to deal with the situation as everyone can still enjoy the feature whilst picking out the ones who abuse it.
