Steam Winter Sales 2014! What'd you buy?

Featured Replies

It's that time of year once again where Steam is flooded with discounts here, there and everywhere on many games and would like to know what you bought? (If you even bought anything during the sales)

I never usually partake in Steam Sales BUT a friend gave me a £15 steam voucher for XMAS and I decided to buy:

Arma 2 - £3.99

Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box - £2.49

GTR 2 - £0.99

Simbin Mega Bundle (GTR 2 was included, oops) - £5.19

Street Racing Syndicate - £1.74

Total - £18.95

  • This is usually the result of a Steam sale for my wallet. But this sale feels a bit slow and lacking huge savings like previous ones.

  • Sat down at my computer after my family left for the night. Then this happened:   I'm trying to take it a bit easier this year. So far I got GRID 2, SHIFT 2, Lords of The Fallen and Call of Juarez

Everything on my wishlist is on sale.. but i don't have the money to buy anything, plus i have about 100 games in my steam library i have yet to play and complete.. so not buying games would've been a good thing right now xD

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

I had 11 games in my library before I bought anything and afterward I had 29 games. Mainly the Simbin Bundle that gave me all of their games and their DLC's. I rarely buy games on steam, usually £15-£20 spent per year on Steam

All my games are either from retail codes (games i have had on disc), bundles, specials or freebies. I rarely buy games at full price.. i either wait for then to be on sale or buy it from G2A.com.

All I want is Dragon Age:Ultimate Edition. Steam drop the price 50% from 29.99 to 14.99 USD. I think its still a bit too much for an old game but offer still stands till Jan 2. If steam does not drop the price a bit more then I'll take it.

I bought Saints Row IV:Game of the Century Edition (meant to buy the Ultimate Franchise Pack). SR4 was 50% off from 29.99 to 14.99 and includes all DLC and I also bought a classic all time favorite of mine for Xbox original, Just Cause that was 1.39.

I almost bought Just Cause 2 (I think it was 3.99) but I had doubts of my PC running it. Only new-ishgames I got were RACE 07 (Simbin Bundle) and Burnout Paradise

That Simbin Bundle was a bargain, dropped from £25 to £5, thats 80% for you mathemeticicians

I never dare step into a sale. I know that by the end of it my bank account will be down to single figures.

I'm trying to take it a bit easier this year. So far I got GRID 2, SHIFT 2, Lords of The Fallen and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. I also got some items from the gem store in Guild Wars 2 including a Royal Terrace Pass, which comes in handy. I'd like more stuff, but I really shouldn't buy more stuff.

In conclusion:

South Park: Stick Of Truth. 3 Times. One for me and two for two other lucky people randomly selected in my Friends List on steam.

Other than that nothing really. Nothing stuck out to me that screamed "MUST HAVE!!!" and I didn't feel like having my wallet weep in the corner while I do unspeakable things to it during yet another sale.

Help us, help you!

I already had GT LEGENDS so I just got the Simbin bundle, GT LEGENDS, GTR 2, GTR, RACE 07 and all their DLC for £5! I think all simbin games were 99p each. I got GT Legends in the summer sale for some money (Forget how much it was)
