I'm gonna be completed honest here, I'm not too surprised. With tensions already high in NYC over the Eric Gardner Ordeal, I knew someone would be a big enough coward to run up to a couple unlikely officers and shot and kill them.

Tensions are already high in New York after Eric garner had died, so this is no surprise to me. RIP NYPD

RIP to the officers. Very bad time to lose someone....well...actually, every time is a bad time.

The gunman should have not shot at those two officers. He was avenging garner, but those officer I don't think they was involved in that shooting when garner was shot.

They could of been good cops. :(

I'll be honest, what exactly did the NYPD or any other Force think was going to happen? abusing peoples rights, Police Brutality & so much more, it's never good when stuff like this happens, but people are tired of it.

If the guy hadn't have killed himself, the NYPD surely would have assisted him if & when they caught him.. look what the LAPD did to Dorner, 2 of the most Notorious Police Departments for corruption in the world.

Well here is the problem, people that do the crime, dont want to do the time! Sadly 80% of crime is by black people.... But this has nothing to do with what NYPD thought would happen.... Its a Mayor that is backing the protesters up and saying he fears for his sons safety if he gets stopped by police, now I dont know what the crime is like in Canada, but until you live, work, play in the big apple, you shouldnt judge. Not all cops or corrupt or bad. And NYPD is in the spot light always cause its Americas BIGGEST Police Department!

Please do us all a favor and don't pay Slimory any mind - don't disrespect these officers' sacrifices with incoherent and incredibly limited-viewpoint/sadistic political ramblings or responding to said political ramblings.

So does the RCMP, the RCMP is the biggest most well known Canadian Police Force in the world & they sure as hell have their bad apples, crime is crime, especially along the coast areas ie- Vancouver BC & Nova Scotia for drug trafficking, we have gangs, we have murders, we have everything the U.S does, but the cops for the most part are pretty laid back, but they can do whatever they want to anyone, every single Police Officer from the U.S to Canada will back another cop before they back a civilian, which is good & bad because if no one looks out for the cops who is going to? pretty much anything & everything is unacceptable to the general public that they don't understand.

People now a days think every police officer is a dirty cop! Some police officers take their job seriously and want to protect and serve, but get killed while doing the right thing! I hope these heartless scums get what they deserve!

A Merseyside police officer was killed on a Christmas night out with friends earlier this week by someone who recognised him as a police officer. Dunno what the world is coming to lately.

RIP Officer Liu and Officer Ramos.  Liu married only two months ago and Ramos leaves behind his wife and thirteen-year-old son.
