I was so called "Beat" as a child and now im suffering from a condition known as "RESPECT FOR OTHERS". Boo Hoo Boo Hoo Hoo.

  • Simple: it's now considered assault, and can lead to criminal charges.

  • I believe in discipline but not beating kids.

You know I heard in the old days teachers and the assistant principals could paddle you in school if you did something wrong or three strikes and two paddles, whatever happened to that form of punishment.

Why should they be allowed to do this ?

No human should hurt any human in any way....

It happens and this is sad.

In Germany you break 3 Laws if you hit your Childrens (Two Laws specially for Childrens and one "regular")

We get every week 2 or 3 Callouts for parents beating their childrens.

And when those kids hit someone they cannot be prosecuted since they ain't 18 yet. That means for 18 years they have nothing to fear, and after that they go straight to the jail...

In a jail? You country must be a great place to live.

Yep, American jail isn't meant to punish you to the highest extent of the law for all of eternity; As it may be in other countries. Jail is meant to teach you discipline, respect, law and order. The "If you break this law, this is what will happen to you" type of mentality.

Simple: it's now considered assault, and can lead to criminal charges.

Well dang.

Define "beat"....if you mean allow parents to walk around and smack their child for nothing...then no.

But if you mean as a course of discipline. Then yes. (as long as no bones are broken, I think a good "beating" is needed to teach a rude/disrespectful child some proper manners)
