Thank you for warning me beforehand. I had my volume knob turned all the way down on my headset and I could still hear it clearly, including the person saying "Oh my god!" at the end. If I had this at regular volume I think people in the next county would have heard it clearly.

I believe it is a police car since it has blue LED's as well as the red. It might be a take home car, I hope to god it's not a first responders car.

TBH thats nothing new to me. NYPD uses them for quite some time now. First time i saw one was about a year ago on policecarwebsite.net

 

 

Well, they use Go-4 for traffic, so it's alright :D

Just wanted to point out that the picture is from a movie called "The other guys" (A comedy)... :P

 

Nothing new, NYPD has been using them for several years now. They are actually a cost saving alternative to regular patrol cars for units that don't have the same needs as patrol officers. Some agencies use them for their parking enforcement officers or transit police. Those police officers don't need to respond anywhere quickly and don't need to transport prisoners so why spend extra money on a regular patrol car and all the gas they use (police cars are very fuel efficient) when it is not necessary.

My gosh what a loud siren.
