LCPDFR, LSPDFR, and SAPDFR?

Featured Replies

Got ninja'd by ineseri halfway trough typing, but I'm gonna post it anyway.

As stated in another topic, the trademark is there to prevent anyone else from using those names as it refers to LCPDFR. It does not mean there will actually be a mod, similar to LCPDFR, for GTA V. No confirmation on such a mod can be made untill the game is out for pc and the developers have taken a look at it.

Yard1, maybe you should get together with the staff here and release an LSPD/SAHP pack for GTA V if an SAPDFR is released, cause I for one really want to patrol the highways of Los Santos/Blaine County in a SAHP cruiser.

Although, because there are different departments, maybe LSPDFR isn't the best name for it just saying.

My System:

Intel i7-2600k | ASUS P67 Sabertooth | NVIDIA GTX 560ti | Corsair 750W PSU | Corsair Vengeance 8GB | Lamptron Fan-Atic

It means that we're making sure no one else takes those names. But who knows :P

I don't know if this has been pointed out previously, but at the bottom of the LCPDFR page lies this:

Could this indicate a similar mod to LCPDFR in GTA V when it is released for PC next year?

It's also been there for a while now. I remember Ineseri pointing it out in a thread before. I still think it's a conspiracy XD.

Hey hey hey, I don't think it is going to be that easy. First we would need a new OpenIV, then I would have to convert the models and so on. If I am going to release something, it is not going to be affiliated with LCPDFR/LSPDFR/SAPDFR, as those are going to be purely script mods (unless Dev team says otherwise).

I think G17 Media is the Illuminati...

You're a genius.

Thanks to everyone for clearing it up for me, but it's still a bit fishy, eh? :P We can only hope at this point...

Thanks, haha. Anyway, I think it will be a while before people can figure GTA V's engine. I heard it's still using the RAGE engine somewhere, not sure how long it will take to figure it out but they might have some knowledge on how it will work out. I am no coder myself, this is just my two cents on this.

They already made OpenIV for the 360/PS3 version of GTA V. Plus they seem to update it monthly which is nice so I think they are ready for it.
