Alright so in the GTA V trailer we all noticed the graphics. It seems that they took the graphics mod idea from the GTA IV modders and have decided to put it into GTA V. However, they seem to have not have put in police cars with the ELS system. Sorry console players, it looks like GTA V modders will have to script a new ELS system for the game. I don't know if anyone saw in the video, but the numbers 5, 25, and 12 repeatedly show up. Possibly 5/25/12 is the release date? I guess we'll find out after they release info updates. Also feel free to post more info in the comments!

I don't think they will have to change much, I doubt they will remove the extras system.

The 25th of May 2012 is the birthday of this Rockstar North guy, don't know his name by memory now (probably gonna get flamed from NB or Sam now) - A release on that date is quite likely.

Uninteresting side note, GTA won't be focused on police, so nobody should expect "intelligent" cops, I remember hearing that the aggressive cops started with the very first GTA, where it was a bug during development, the cops tried to drive though the player, the devs decided to stick with it in the final game, and throughout the whole series.

Anything is possible. No-one on this forum can confirm nor deny (at the moment) the possibility of a 25/05/2012 release.

That makes it sound like you know, but can't say.

Sounds like it's spoken from a cop, leaving both the option for it being true (you can walk away) and it being not ture (enjoy your stay in the cheapest hotel in town).

He cannot confirm, or deny anything, even if he knew anything, everyone associated with projects like that are under strict NDA's, and will possibly face dismissal, and/or legal action as per the contract.

I doubt it'll be released this May cuz Max Payne 3 is coming out at the same time and Take 2 wouldn't want people to buy GTAV instead of Max Payne. However, if they were both released in May then I'll be very happy XD

Ah, well it did say they were going to release it sometime Fall of 2012, but that can change very fast. As of right now, they are done working with the game. They are just fixing the details and repairing the game so it will fit with other consoles as well as making New Trailers! Can't wait!

That would be cool if it was released on his Birthday, which my opinion is they might be setting a goal and releasing it on his Birthday, not quite sure but just my opinion. Aside from the developers not worrying about the police AI I think if Rockstar made a police game it would be awesome

They did make a police game, they made L.A Noire, ( which i heard isn't even worth buying),

honestly, you would think after all the hype about LCPDFR and all the talk about the people wanting a free roam police game that intail's the life and duties of a police officer is VERY unlikely because most Police forces don't want Policing to be made into an in depth video game at all, would be hella sweet though, if LCPDFR made a video game, i'd DEFINETELY buy it.

They didn't make it, they were just the publisher. It's made by Team Bondi. And it's a quite nice game if you like to be a detective and don't want a shooter.

I don't think really think GTA V will be released that early, I guess sometimes about fall. And as it's pretty much the same engine as IV I guess there's no big difference in modding.

i hope it's not to different with modding, i started out on the console version, i can't stand it now that i have EFLC and GTAIV for PC, really excited it's in LA though :)

Yes it is based on san Andreas, it is set in los Santos, the fictional equivalent of los Angeles.
