Felons

Featured Replies

Oh come'on sir. You know that when your addicted to something you can't just have one. I don't anyone who went to a party and only had one beer or two.

Present. My father got married last weekend, and of course there was plenty of alcoholic beverages to go around, and I defiantly fancy myself a beer drinker. But I have this crazy thing called self control, which seems to be something you don't believe exists, and had two over the course of the 6 hours I was at the reception.

I don't think even would doubt that officer Wilson should be charged with murder. In fact if I was a police officer alongside him when he killed mike brown I might had of pulled out my glock and shot him right after.

Self control ahahahaha don't make me laugh 9/10 of Americans lack self control, and 9/10 of police officers  can't keep their fingers off the trigger so please lets not get into self control. But I will end this conversation with this: you believe what you think is right, and i'll believe what I know is right.

Thats absolutely not true. I know a lot of people who have self control when drinking or doing anything, and police officers MUST have self control because they deal with the public! So to say that 9/10 cops can't keep their fingers off the triggers is absurd.

Yeah, the country wouldn't be how it is if people had that little self control. Especially cops.

Lol, where do you get these statistics? If you show me a reliable source that has these stats and I will be impressed. But guess what I won't have to worry about that because you are just making this up as you go, you have no evidence of this. You want to know how I know you are not a 25 year old paralegal student? Because you say stupid shit like this, nobody in their right mind would believe the BS you are spewing right now.

You're welcome to believe whatever you choose, you have the right to do that, regardless of how asinine.

Hello Everyone I have a question. A friend of mine applied for the NYC auxiliary police and was disqualified because of a prior felony conviction. Why is this? Auxiliary don't carry firearms so why was he disqualified?

Nearly every job application (whether it's related to civil service or not) is going to ask if you are a convicted felon. Living as a felon is very difficult even after you're out of jail. You can't get a job, you can't get into college, you can't join the military, you can't work for the government, you can't own or posses a firearm, any jail time you get will likely be longer than a first time offender would get. This is all genereally speaking, of course there are a few exceptions, but largely; what I just described is your life after jail if you commit a felony. A police agency will likely disqualify you for any arrests at all. Some disqualify you for getting more than two speeding tickets in your lifetime (Palm Beach County Florida comes to mind).

That friend of yours committed a crime bad enough to get him arrested by the government, so I don't know why he or you would have a hard time understanding why they wouldn't want to hire him on.

If America keeps sending felons out on the streets those same felons will resort back into that life. But hey America doesn't care that's the whole purpose jail is big business right?

So you're saying your friend should be in jail for life instead of getting released after serving time?

If there were no felons their wouldn't be any jobs for police officers huh?

There are other classifications of crimes. Misdemeanors come to mind pretty quickly, but police officers go on all kinds of calls. You should know that pretty well "Detective ODonnell".

Lets not forget anyone can become a felon overnight.

You mean any criminal can become a felon overnight. Nobody in my family has been convicted of a crime because we generally obey the law. It's not as hard to do as a lot of people think. Your friend didn't obey the law, that's why he's DQ'd. Everyone has choices in life, he made the wrong ones, so now he has to deal with it. Obviously you're being bitter for him (if he actually exists, sometimes "a friend of mine" means you) when instead he should pick himself up and focus on something else.

I am so sick Of America and its propaganda.

Then get the hell out and go live in another country.

This is absolutely false I spent 12 years in law enforcement in N.Y. And I never fired my weapon in the field, I know plenty of other officers who have retired and never fired their weapons as well. You don't use it unless you have to, I was fortunate enough to have never been put in a position where deadly force was needed but I would do it in a heartbeat.

And who are you to decide who is and isn't allowed here? Or who should be able to play LCPDFR? If you're fed up with NYPDDetectiveODonnell's posts, feel free to ignore them; there's an ignore list in your profile for exactly this reason. Don't try to act as if you get to decide if he can be here or not.

The fact that someone is on a community based around a game mod where the player turns into a cop *suggests* that they're more likely to respect the police than the average person, but that's by no means a requirement to be here. So long as NYPDDetectiveODonnell follows the rules of this site, we don't have a problem with him being here, and there is no rule saying you can't criticize or disrespect police. On the other hand, it is against the rules to tell a member that they aren't welcome on this site anymore (unless you're a member of staff acting in an official role); "I don't like your type, get out of here" doesn't work if you aren't in charge of who's allowed here.

Making posts saying cops are trigger happy is perfectly allowed here; ordering other members to leave is not. If these rules change, we'll let you know.

I Never said i was anyone to do anything.

He is being overly disrespectful to police.

I Never ordered him to do anything.

At all, i asked him to leave....

You of all people should understand my point that police are overly mistreated 24/7 And i hate to see it on a website i love, and then have the administration defend him.

He called the officer in ferguson a murderer after he requested his felon friend needs another chance..... Disrespect.

Sure, i don't have authority on this website.

But i believe in a community where we play as cops we should respect them

Please, let me know if i am wrong here.

I Was not trying to be an asshole.

But on a website where i expect respect to police officer that risk their lives everyday... I Find the exact opposite.

I Do not order people off the website... i told him to leave due to his respect to officers, on a website where we (From what i see) respect police..... But if that's not true i understand.

And i found it ironic that he is here doing this and not on a YouTube video where everyone hates police.

You'll get my support. While I get everybody should be treated as equally, I can't stand to believe this guy is still here.
