The chance of Rockstar "backing out" of the PC release won't happen, they have already announced, advertised it and gotten a lot of pre-orders for it (including from myself), they'll anger more customers by cancelling it.

 

However, humans are running the company.. so they might make that dumb move and cancel it. we won't know until either they announce it, or we don't get it on release date. but again, i doubt they'll cancel it. right now for the upcoming release their biggest seller is the PC version since most people wouldn't have a next gen console since they have a PC (like me. i prefer to spend the money on my PC than on a new console).

Well with all this "GTA Online" bullshit, the game will most likely be almost impossible to mod anyway. I can honestly say if I cannot mod the singleplayer, it's not a purchase of mine. LCPDFR was the only reason I bought GTA IV for the PC. I think Rockstar needs to realize that a lot of people only buy a game on the PC because of a mod they saw and liked. Notice I didn't say "most", I said a lot. Mods do bring in unexpected customers that would have never purchased the game otherwise.

Well, I'll be damned if it comes out to be true. I'll admit I'm bored to death playing the same damn GTA for more than 6 years over and over again. I actually had hopes for V.
