Here's a cool old SQ (Sûreté du Québec - Quebec Provincial Police) cruiser with a cool officer rocking a mustasch.

So I was watching They Live (1988) movie and thought this scene, where the protagonist picks a shotgun from a LAPD Chevrolet Impala cruiser, could be a good reference for modding, assuming that the cruiser isn't simply a fictional movie made prop. Notice the place where the shotgun is actually placed, horizontally, below where the officer's leg would go.

The scene also would show the configuration of the radio, the speed radar and how the Mobile Data Terminal is attached to the floor of the cruiser. Starts at 8:47.

Once Carface finishes his model, i'll be doing something like these.

I'm definitely looking forward to that now!  For the record, I'd love to see a version with something like a Federal CJ184 beacon in the middle of the roof.

The 2015 NY Auto Show opens to the public tomorrow, and the NYC Police Museum's exhibit is there again.  I'm planning to go; if I get the chance to attend I'll be sure to snap a few photos for this thread again.  It seems as if they have all of the classic RMPs from last year, along with a few new ones as well.  In particular, the official NYPD twitter account showed off this photo of what looks to be a late forties/early fifties RMP (it has to be earlier than 1955 because that's when they stopped using the POLICE light box on the roof according to policeny.com).

Even being in the first half of XX century didn't stop Americans from putting as many lights up there as possible :D

BTW, does anyone of your fine gentlemen in our nice thread know what did NYPD use to transport prisoners back in 1940's? I even contacted the admins of police.ny once, but even with their aid I didn't find a reply. All the paddy wagons on the site are dated 1960's or later. The only thing earlier is this
